This is a very well made descender for climbing, my brother is a avid Mountain Climber. I saw this descender and the reviews left and decided this was perfect for him. I was even more pleased when it arrived. It is heavy duty! Made well, and is perfect. The packaging is perfect for a gift and boxed well. The color is a nice blue, and adds flare to the climbing set up. This item is anti rust, which is good as he does climb in the elimates. Very pleased.Addendum 02/20/2020I have watched my brother used this climbing descender. He climbs year round and used It I bet 35 times minimum in the weather of Colorado. The descender while not looking shiny and new, has scratches on the paint but the pullers still work great. There is no rust found. They turn like it was brand new just opened from the box while maneuvering the rope through nicely. The rope stays in place, does not jam. This has proven to be an excellent piece of equipment which is what you want and need climbing in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Still quite impressed and very much recommend this equipment for climbing.

I love this thing. Easy to carry, attach, and SAFE! Attach your biner, thread the line per the diagram on the device, ASSURE IT IS CORRECT, test it on the ground before stepping off the ledge! The lever should totally control your descent. Fast/slow. That's it!Ron

My kids recently joined climbing teams at a local climbing gym. They don’t have a lot of experience yet with knots and using the equipment so I picked up a few things for them to practice at home. If you go to a climbing gym, do check the requirements for equipment before you purchase if you would like to use it there. Our gym has very specific brands that they will allow. That was not important to me. They have the equipment that they need at the gym, I just wanted something affordable for them to practice and have fun on their little climbing wall. This descender is solid and functions smoothly. The instructions were clear and easy to understand.

So the highest pitch of my roof is 32ft. I really didn’t want to kill myself hanging Christmas lights so I decided to tie a rope to a tree in the backyard and drape it over the house to hook into with a harness and the Ito Rocky Climbing Belay. Needless to say the plan worked flawlessly. When I was on the ladder it secured me in case of a fall. At points I actually relied completely on the device while I was on the roof. I could hang by it and let myself down using the handle. Awesome!

I use this this descender exclusively for rappelling down a 100 ft 45 degree hill to a river bank to cut down trees along the way and access a remote area. I use 10 mm static line (not hanging or climbing) with full climbing gear. Have used about 2 dozen times so Far with no issues.

Nice quality parts and the design is good.I first brought these around my rope sport communities and aslo hung a ito-rocky foot loop which through the bottom hole to get a leg up and save energy. I'm using it with 12mm rope and don't have any issues at all with it slipping .I used petzl ascender before and I think they work just as well in every way.They they are working by the same principle. I can predict it is an absolutely solid piece of equipment.Recommend.

This product came exactly as advertised. Photos from other reviewers were very helpful. The product is surprisingly good quality for the price. The visor attaches easily and removes quickly if you want it out of the way using magnets. The chin strap is also fully adjustable and well designed. There are also padding inserts inside the helmet that are removable to adjust for your unique head shape. I think you get a lot for your money here and it looks cool.
