MerrellMen's J17199w Moccasin

I'm 72 years old, and I think these look like old men shoes. However, I do love the shoes. At 72 I'm not so sensitive to what the shoe looks like. I care much more for quality and fit and I haven't found anyone that does that better than Merrell. I recently fractured my femur and hip. Now the most painful thing I do every day is put on my socks and shoes. I decided after a year of hoping the pain would go away, I'd get some slip ons. This has been very good for me. My feet slip right into them and I no longer struggle through the pain to put my shoes on.My background is as an exercise physioloist and a biomechanics practitioner. I once co-owned a PT clinic. We handled many foot injuries clinically. We even made custom orthotics for people. I found that torsion bars or some other type of engineering to control mid-sole movement is imperative for preventing overuse injuries, such as stress fractures, tendinitis and plantar fasciitis. These shoes have those features. They are very stable and feel very healing while walking around. I love them and highly recommend them.

My husband has had two serious back injuries so he needs to have above average footwear for support and comfort. These are so comfortable that he has had several pair. When they wear down we buy another pair, as these are his favorites. They are very well made and last a very long time before replacement. I even bought the “gals” version and the comfort is amazing!

These are my go-to office shoes. Comfortable and durable, easy to put on or take off, and they polish up to a nice professional appearance. I treat them pretty hard and it takes me a bit more than a years to wear the soles out. All in all I like them, and keep a replacement pair in their box on the shelf ready to get used when the previous pair gets too damaged or worn.

If you have wide feet you should buy a half size bigger. Its to bad that you can't get double E any more.

I absolutely love these shoes. I’m on my feet all day and these shoes have proven to be the way to go for me. I have bought these same shoes in other colors and styles.

This second pair of Merrill shoes...I have high arch and most shoes I can't stand in very long..these are smart casual, very comfortable, high arch, extremely durable...12 starsThese are the second pair I have bought...still using first...smart casual, very durable, high arch which I require, can stand all day in these...22 stars

I’ve bought many pairs of these shoes. You can find them at a great price @$70. All leather uppers and Merrill bottoms which have a good durability. The rubber bottoms do get a bit slippery on wet smooth surfaces so take caution when not on cement or rough surfaces. Overall excellent shoes. 👍🏻

POOR QUALITY!! I was looking forward to having my first pair of Merrell's, but sadly will never ever shop this brand again.Shoe was received with significant amount of glue visible on one of the seams as if manufacturer made a bad pair and decided to glue it back together. Item is not old/second hand but the quality control must be bad if they had to resort to this.Not paying $130 to receive a poor made shoe with glue coming out the sides! Unacceptable for what is meant to be a good brand. DISAPPOINTING!!
