Fits iPad Air in a case
I bought this mostly to carry my iPad. As a bonus it can carry a bunch of other stuff including water and some granola bars. I bring this when I go downtown, sometimes I stuff a light long sleeve shirt in there in case it gets cold. The buckle on the main strap is great for when I’m wearing a motorcycle helmet, I can quickly detach the strap to take it on or off or to just change the position/orientation of the strap. It works great when on a motorcycle, I have it adjusted so it rests on the seat behind me and takes the weight off of my shoulder. It’s a great bag and worked exactly as I expected. I own and have owned dozens of maxpedition products in the past so I pretty much knew exactly what I was getting. I’m looking at the bag now to see what else I can add. Oh it fits a tall 40 oz stainless kleen canteen with a stainless cup on the bottom. Also holds 32 oz nalgene and a double insulated vacuum (can’t remember the brand) this was the most important thing for me. Of course the bottle pouch holds anything much smaller than a nalgene as well. I think this is great for boating too, holds all the legal stuff for boating, flares/flare pistol, registration and a handheld vhf fit nicely inside. This is great for day trips. However I wouldn’t use it if you’re going too far on a bicycle as the bag will have a tendency to swing and throw off your balance and chafe your shoulder. In that case I use my pigmy falcon backpack.

Immortal classics
Owned a Fatboy for years, decided to get a bigger model. Maxpedition does not need another review, this is still the same famous bag. Same materials, same quality as they were decades ago. The Fatboy looks like new after years of use. No doubts, this Jumbo will make no difference.

Second bag. First one is still going strong!
My first one lasted 3 years before a leatherman and knife made a small hole in the side pocket. Decided to buy a new setup to use and keep the first as a backup. Looks like they made some improvements!! New shoulder strap seems to have more padding. The strap seems a little thicker. The quick pull loops look like they are a hair longer than the first one I had. I add the Janus pouch for frequent access item (phone, magazines), and their 5x7 modular pack for other items mounts to the bottom of the pack with the Grimlock's or TacTile straps. These bags take daily abuse!! On trips I pack this as my "personal bag" for flying. You can fit a lot in even this size. I'll carry my iPhone, extra battery pack for the phone, a GPS in a hardshell case and that only is a couple of pockets! Cram your other gear into the main pocket and CCW area of the bag. Side pocket works great for water bottles or other gear (umbrella, sunglasses, rain gear). OUTSTANDING customer service if you ever have to call them up.UPDATE: Noticed something after I set up the new bag. The shoulder strap is substantially shorter than my older model. It looks like a good foot or so shorter. Otherwise mounting the accessory bags and TacTies on the body and strap went easy.

This bag is AWESOME
So using words like 'AWESOME' is usually something I don't do. But I will in this case.Everything about this bag is great. The craftsmanship, the material, the design, the comfort, the look.I keep my Dayplanner notebook + IPad Mini in the main compartment. The drink holder is used to store 3-4 Clif bars. The smaller pouch on the front carries my wallet & extra odds & ends. Side zip up pouch carries my business card holder & the front pouch on the flap is the perfect place to stuff my keys & receipts that I can sort through later. The top compartment on the top of the flap is the only downside. Its zipper is placed facing the inside, and makes opening that compartment a little funky. But it's workable. I keep all of my electronics chargers, charging cables, and a small Buck folding knife in there. The Conceal Carry slot is pretty sweet. I generally carry my Schrade SCHF 10 (in sheath) in that pocket, although it fits my Springfield XD .40 subcompact perfectly with room to spare. (I recommend the holster that velcros in to the wall of the compartment).Strap is comfortable, and I'll either just throw it over my shoulder or carry it by the handle. It's just so well designed, bulletproof, and fabric cleans easily.I'd buy it again. Without question a beautiful piece of gear.Dug ShelbyThe Oasis Projekt

Excellent bags
I have given these bags to various individuals who do street ministry. They are excellent for carrying some pamphlets and a bottle of water. I like them a lot. I own the larger version as I am a bigger guy.
