Rich, strong and tasty
I like my coffee black, rich and strong. None of this coffee flavoured mllk muck for me! Wifey, however, likes it weaker and with sugar and (by my standards) quite a lot of milk. Neither of us like bitter coffee, though. But it is not easy to get a coffee that suits us both, although she is far less picky than I am. I have tried many beans and always buy through Amazon due to the variety on offer with both successes and failures. By predilection I favour Italian roasts (Illy and Lavazzo but others as well) and both Arabica and Robusta beans, sometimes mixed. When I saw these at 2x1kg bags for around £15 and read what users had put I thought I would try them. Success! Nice as a campfire/cowboy boiled coffee (wifey's fave) or in cafetier etc. Rich and strong with a full flavour, not at all bitter. Very nice indeed and excellent value.

Vile
I rarely write reviews but in this case I felt compelled . we have only just had this delivered and were eager to try it . my wife ground it and the dust was everywhere so not a good start . the taste was horrid . it was so weak and did not taste like any coffee we have tried before ( even the really bad ones ) . then my wife showed me the ground coffee and said smell it . Vile , Vile , Vile we were both nearly sick . I know everyone has different tastes but come on , this does not even resemble coffee . not only did it go straight in the bin but I also had to take the bin bag out as the smell was so awful . worst item I have ever bought from Amazon .

It's fine for the price
Given this works out at about £6.50 per KG it's fine - with a roast date of 5th Dec 2019 on the packaging means this is 2 months old at time of purchased, so definitely not at its prime.Using a heaped single scoop measure and a two measure on the water scale of the aeropress, it comes out not overly bitter, but there's nothing much past ordinary here either - it's acceptable given the cost and still better than instant coffee however.Cheap beans for work but I probably wouldn't get these again.

Real value fo money
Having read the reviews regarding the crema disappearing quickly I was a little dubious before I made my purchase. But the truth of the matter is : it’s all about the grind and dosage, once you have these right ( and it took a little patience ), the bitterness goes and the head stays forever. The taste is rounded, pleasant, chocolate and slightly nutty, not fruity and makes a perfect espresso and also compliments cappuccinos and lattes.A real bargain with a roast date of late December and pushing well above its weight on price.Nicely packaged, just can’t fault it for the price.I am lucky enough to have a commercial coffee machine and grinder for home use, maybe this helped the coffee.Would recommend to at least try once at this price.Have reordered myself.

What a surprise - great coffee!
I was a little bit suspicious, how good can this coffee be, considering how inexpensive it is - and I was very, very pleasantly surprised! This is 100% quality Arabica, medium strength, nice crema and not bitter at all, recommended!

Great value coffee
Some of the premium beans I have bought in the past go up to £6.99 for 250g. So paying less than £16 for 2 Kilos I wasn't expecting much.Pleasantly surprised, It's a bean that needs careful treatment to not edge towards the bitter side, it has quite a complex taste with a nice, slightly nutty finish if brewed right. I found turning my grinder back a notch and being very careful to not over tamp it in my espresso machine (Rocket Espresso R51) gave a good crema and a strong but pleasant taste. In quality terms it's above supermarket own brand, a bit more interesting than lavazza (which I find consistent but rather bland). It's currently my general coffee, with my taste for some of the artisan beans now relegated to special occasions or the odd treat :)

Great value packed with quality. Makes perfect espresso & americano. Also lovely with milk recipes.
Third purchase for this bean and still very happy with the product. Beans are packed of high quality similar to famous brands in the market. You can expect the whole beans instead of broken beans along with the consistency of bean colour not like other brands in the same price range e.g. Solimo or Alcafe. I usually have American and Espresso and this bean never let me down. These beans always provide a generous amount of crema after fresh brew* and it stays. Nice aroma, not too smoky or dark roast. No sour taste at the finish which is my favourite. I tried Espresso beans of this brand but not as impressed as this Arabica variety. Would highly recommend if you're looking for high-quality coffee beans with a great value price.*I use automatic beans to cup machine with fine-grinded level.
