A brilliant design, very well made, but tricky to master. The cut is very clean when used correctly.My technique is to grip the eggcup and the Egg cracker together and try to keep them held firmly in place.Lifting the handle, then releasing it, can plunge the cracker into the egg, so holding it firmly is important and means that the force goes into the cut, but prevents it from crashing into the egg. Not always successful, but when it does work its really cool.

Gimmicky but I like it. Nice clean cut shells. No bits of broken shell to be picked out of the egg! My wife just shakes her head and looks to the ceiling 🙄.

I bought one of these for myself a couple of years ago and have since bought it as a stocking filler for several people who all say they love it!So easy to use. Just place it over the egg, pull the spring-loaded ball up and release. It fires back down and the shock cracks the egg around the edge of the domed section. I use this at least once per week and it is still working well after a couple of years. The little spoon that comes with it is pretty useless, but don't let that put you off.

It does not give a clean cut to the eggshell as suggested. It shatters the shell into tiny pieces around the cutting point, so you have to pick out those pieces to avoid eating them. Since there are a variety of egg types, perhaps thet should admit that it only works with certain types, if it works at all.

Brilliant when you get it right but a bit hit & miss. Once you develop the knack it works well with 3 ‘hits’ but sometimes it doesn’t make a clean cut or smashes the egg. It’s good fun though.

Great invention. My husband already bought me one as a gift, so obviously when it was his birthday I bought him this one so we don't have to fight over it. Would totally recommend this for egg-lovers, but would not recommend using it to thwack a person's forehead. To be clear, I haven't actually tried this but I expect it would hurt quite a lot.

This will with a bit of skill get you a neatly topped egg. The first one we bought is still going strong and scores/cracks evenly all round. This one works well on one side and not the other. But it's fine, does the job.
