Can not keep consistent connection keeps dropping one side. Tried several aux adapters nothing worked

I was excited to receive this but then a little disappointed with performance.Ended up modifying it to use an external 18650 LiON battery and to use the headset microphone as not a default option.My only use is to connect a headset via Bluetooth to phone or computer.Pros:It was easy to connect to phone and the audio playing through the headset is great.I did not notice a video lag when watching videos.Small and lightweight.Easy to open up and get at internals.System messages given in English.Cons:I would only get 20-30 minutes from the battery running a full size headset with over the ears speakers. "Low Battery" was a phrase I heard more than once. Smaller in the ear phones might get the 8 hours they promise. Internal battery when tested was around 65mah which seems about right for size (8mmx3mmx30mm). Now I have an 1800mah 18650 powering it and get hours of use.The headset microphone is not used by the original setup even though the jack socket could support it. Ended up removing the microphone on the circuit board and wiring up the headset microphone to Bluetooth. Unfortunately, it sounds like an aircraft pilot talking to control tower over the radio as not as clear as when plugged directly into phone or computer. Note the wiring is so small you have to be comfortable soldering with magnification to do the modification.Very easy to open which means if it gets dropped, it could fall apart.I was able to make it work for my purposes. If you don't have high expectations, don't need to use the headset microphone, don't need to use power-hungry full-size headphones, don't plan to drop it, then this will most likely work for you.

I really like the form factor as it can be used with any earphones or earbuds to make them Bluetooth compatible. What kept me from giving it 5 stars is connectivity. As others have mentioned, it does not always reconnect to last used device at power on. Sometimes it does, and sometimes not. Sometimes it will connect after power cycling a few times other times I actually have to go into the Bluetooth menu of the source device and force it to reconnect. It is inconsistent. Once connected, though, it works well. I use it with ear buds and sound quality is excellent. I have not experienced any dropouts or lag and battery life is quite good.

So far so good, it's small but not tiny,, has button interface built in, sound quality doesn't suffer and has good range of connection distance.

So few things work like they are supposed to and like they say they will I just had to write this review. It was amazing I opened the package, turned it on, plugged it in and it started working just as promised.I was able to modernize my 2007 Honda CRV sound system to accept my Bluetooth smartphone. Will wait to see how long it lasts and how it is when it needs charging. But I had to share the excitement of something that actually works for $10.
