Q: Are these knives dishwasher safe?

According to Global website, they say "Please do not put GLOBAL knives in a dishwasher. The harsh environment during the wash cycle will harm the knife and in turn, cause corrosion."

Q: What is the difference between the various Global Santoku knife models?

Mostly length and curvature of the blade. They’re all great knives though — own 5 and have every intention of continuing to buy these when those wear out. Incredibly sharp. My father-in-law, who is a surgeon, swears these are sharp enough for surgery.

Q: Is this 11" or 14" long? confused by description. i need the shorter one so g48 or g80? thanks y'all!

The blade is 7 inches, the overall knife including the handle is 14 inches. G48 seems to have same dimensions.
