Are these safe to be decorations in a fish tank?

I would not chance it. They are metal but I think the gold ones are coated. I would not do it and only get fish tank decorations.

Would a metal detector react to these?

Do believe they will, they are magnetic so the ones I got I think are ferrous or copper mix, could be pewter which is detector sensitive. Hope this helps
