GREAT tuner BUT NOT a MyGica
,/////Edit to add this important info: This is not a MyGica as described and pictured, it is almost identical in appearance but it's not a MyGica, the little block adapter doesnt have same streamlined shape, nor does it have MyGica or HDTV logos on it, but it's a out the same size. It has a different interface with the tv schedule and channel display and recording interface. What this is a "PadTV" dongle, and that is the software you download. This may explains why it works with my Samsung phone when MyGica specifies it wont. It's because it's a PadTV. Now with that being clarified, what follows is my original review from last week, I am still very happy with my purchase. But the seller should be listing the actual product that he's selling. ///////// I had looked at several and went with this one because it had a lot of reviews and there seems a lot of the youtube videos demonstrations for this. So I bought this one... Now, how I managed to miss the bold red print above the description saying "THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH SAMSUNG PHONES! ~ or something to that effect, I don't know, but I didn't see it till just now after I've been watching OTA tv on my Samsung S8. I opened the package, connected the supplied adapter for my phone and attached one of the supplied antennas (I used the little one). Downloaded the PadTV app from google play, installed, ran a channel scan, only found ten channels but I was inside, and using the small ant. The picture excellent, sound fine, no stuttering on any channels, everything's great. Then I come here to review it only to discover it wont work with my phone. Well, I don't know, so far so good. I'll come back and let you know if it quits working. But really, so far as I cam tell it seems to be working fine and I see no reason why not to give it 5 stars. Edit: I mentioned I only got 10 channels with the little loop antenna but later I rescanned with it connected to the supplied rabbit ear antenna and recanned and it found 35 channels (which is more in line of what I usually receive). What's more, surprisingly it seems to receive signals more reliably than my Onn Ruko TV with a larger antenna. This thing works excellent both with or without selecting the hardware acceleration option (not sure what that even does). Also as I previous pointed out it works perfectly with my Samsung S8, but now I have it hooked to my old inactive Cricket phone (Cricket Debut 2) which is a cheap $30 phone and it works perfectly on that too, which is good because it leaves my active Samsung free while watch tv on my old Cricket. Showed it to my friend yesterday and now he's buying one!.

Cute tuner.
Tuner was able to tune in all available tv channels in my area. I am one mile from a translator tower with no obstructions. Small loop antenna had occasional dropouts. The other larger included antenna worked better. The EPG was inaccurate and useless. When recording tv programs, icon showed recording was occurring, but recordings were not saved anywhere, that I could find, for playback. I think the tuner is cute, but I returned it and will be using a Hauppage tuner with my computer, which works much better.

Not worth the money
The device kept unplugging causing the App to close. Would be OK if the App just said lost connection, but no, App crashes so you have restart the app and wait 15s+ for it to reload. Then, the signal strength is a joke, it always shows full strength even when the channel is pixalating, or the app blanks the screen and shows a message of no signal. If you do get this device, I recommend getting a USB extension cable to help prevent the device from constantly disconnecting. With out manual tuning, you will have rescan every time you move the antenna to try to pull in more channels. Just ridiculous for such devices not to incorporate some kind of signal finder feature.

This thing really works !!
This little thing is great 😁 with either antenna I get a host of channels !!! And that's in my living room ...... The antenna is the key to any OTA broadcast and these little thing worked well for me .. I live in new jersey & I'm close to new York plus I'm no stranger to receiving OTA TV 👍 I have several devices much bigger then this and this gives them stiff competition .. It works great on my XT341Z MOTOROLA G and it works great .. Had to get the app from APKPURE , couldn't find it on play store ? no biggie .. There are times when I need to wait for about 45 minutes before appointments s this little gadget will come in handy ..

Works great. Just downloaded the app
I don't know why there are all these bad reviews for this product. I went on the google play store, and when I saw I could not download the recommended app through google play, I instead went right to the MyGica website, where I found the right app under their support tab. Once I downloaded the app through there, I was not only able to use it on my lenovo chrome tablet, but also use it on samsung devices as well. The picture is crisp, clean, 1080P, and I am able to receive 50 channels in HD on my tablet or phone. Happy I didn't just return the product! The app comes in a Zip file, so when I opened the file, it was automatically scanned for malware, which there was none.

Pretty awesome
For less than $20 my expectations were not very high. But it arrived 2 days after I ordered it, and the EXTREMELY easy setup/instructions couldn't have been simpler. Within 5 minutes of opening the box I had Over the Air tv playing on my Motorola Moto G 5g. The picture is crystal clear, the sound is great, and most impressively, I have 54 channels while my Samsung 42" tv only receives 45 channels. It has PIP (picture in picture), recording, channel guide, show reminders, and more. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is I was only sent 1 antenna, rather than the advertised 2. I'm contacting the seller to see if the 2nd antenna can be sent. You should buy this inexpensive, super gun and extremely simple to use tv setup to make your phone a tv! It's a steal! **Update: had initially given it 4 stars and complained I only received 1 of 2 advertised antennas that come with it. I didn't see the 2nd antenna had fallen on the floor when I opened the box. I sincerely apologize to the seller. And with the 2nd antenna now in hand I am enthusiastically giving this product a wholehearted 5 stars!

Software problem.
Video is great and installation is easy except that on my android motorcycle e6 and 11 generation fire tablet the sound did not work. Had download a previous version. Hope this is fixed soon.

It's hard to rate something you can't use
I finally got it to work but not well at all. The booklet has super tiny print and the pages are almost totally black, very hard to read. It says if the picture is not synchronized to use the decoding, but that does nothing but give a black screen. The same thing is supposed to yield sound. But all the things I tried didn't clear up the constant pixelizations and never yielded any sound whatsoever. Sending it back.
