I recently bought this weighted blanket to improve my sleep and provide me with an artificial hug. Its 8kg weight worked, as I’ve not been able to get out of bed for three days. Luckily, I was rescued from my predicament when my flatmate and three friends came into my room and took a corner each.Whilst trapped like a modern-day pharaoh interred in expensive fabric, I was able to reflect on the high thread count and quality stitching of each quilted patch.My only concern arose of the glass beads used to fill the blanket. If there was a fire, would they melt leaving me entombed like a ship in a bottle? Whilst far-fetched, the blanket is so warm that spontaneous combustion presents a real risk, and the artificial hug the blanket provides is most welcoming, as any contact with your bed partner is likely to give you a boil-in-the-bag rice experience. Luckily, the glass beads don’t clink like bottles of beer at a Berlin stag do, so the blanket is quiet during the night.The grey colour works well with existing bedroom furnishings, and will seamlessly match the happy user’s lips after a night of asphyxiation under this weighted blanket.Thankfully, this was all simply a fleeting dream brought about by quality slumber. A friend of mine mentioned getting weighted blanket had no clue what it was my sleep was awful up and down 3 or 4 times a night tossing and turning waking up more shattered than I went to bed. Read reviews and Thought why not omg omg amazing I really can’t express how great this is like a great big heavy but so comforting cuddle I call my blanket mam ( she passed suddenly so makes me feel she’s cuddling me) so comforting and I have had theeeeeee best nights sleep for the last 3 nights I have had this incredible blanket. Actually bought this as a "Mothers day" present for te wife from the children. She always wants to feel the weight of the duvet on her so normally draped her towelling dressing gown on the bed for added weight. I thought I would be uncomfortable under this blanket as I quite often have a leg out of the duvet and certainly don't like weight/pressure on my toes! Oh how wrong I was! I thought this blanket would take some getting used to but I was wrong again! So first night of use it does feel a little strange when you first get into a bed with this blanket on top as it is very heavy! However I can safely say I had one of my best night's sleeps on the first night! I felt as if I hardly moved in the night and didn't wake up as much. I can't really pinpoint the exact reason for my restful night but the blanket certainly did what it was suppose to do. We have used the blanket for around 3 weeks until it got too hot and every night was the same very pleasant experience.So in summary - worth every penny! Time will tell if it washes well etc. but for now I just can't wait until it starts getting cooler and the blanket can once again comfort me to a long and refreshing sleep.

We have a few weighted blankets made in different ways . This blanket the weight is fixed evenly and contained within the blanket. ( not removable like some others to make laundering easier)The first Night used was the users first experience of a weighted blanket and confirmed they actually went to sleep quicker and felt decompressed and relaxed upon waking . ( Dx of severe anxiety, pending a ADHD ASD assessment.)Knowing she’s used supplemental sleep remedy’s which have left her feeling still tired in the morning. Waking up without the fog. ( supplements all herbal remedies) the blanket provided a better awakening. Really needed when you have early starts for work.* I have 2 Dx ADHD & ASD in house 1 with DX PDA weighted blankets have been used from age of 8. Excellent, my son feels much more grounded, he has autism and struggles to sleep in his own bed. With this and additional things he slept all night in his own room. Highly recommend, excellent value for money, high quality.
