Does anyone know haw the ball ends are actually attached to the rope? I just had one of the balls on a similar rope slip off with only 30lbs on it.

The rope is a poly rope, which will not absorb moisture. The fibers making up the rope are essentially like plastic. They are fused with heat on the ends, inside of the grip balls. The balls do not slip up and down on the rope. The connection is very secure. Though anything can come apart, or break, I think it's highly unlikely these balls will pull off the end during any conventional use. I have been using my cable pull regularly for months with no signs of wear. The quality is excellent.
