Is this similar to an antidepressents?

Mushrooms do have anti anxiety and mood benefits but you must take them regularly to achieve this. I would not trade your antidepressants in exchange for this. If you're medication can be taken with mushrooms and I don't see why not side effects are slim I would take an herbal substitute whether it is mushrooms or something else with your medication-if you're medication allows. Then you can probably over time wean down your prescription but it could potentially take years I don't know your personal situation Though I know quite a bit about herbs I am not a licensed herbalist
