Dr Martin Lings was a very talented writer, who was able to deal with clarity and objectivit concerning the profound matters of the world of the Spirit, as manifested in the different religions ands spiritualities of humanity. This book is an excellent proof of this, and should be read by all that still have a conscience of the sacred, be it in art, architecture, nature and knowledge. Dr Lings' book can also be read as an introduction to the main theses and methods of the Sophia Perennis, of which he was one of the greatest expositors in our time.

Martin Lings was a very gentle and spiritual person. He wrote very well. For me a lot of the book is a repetition of his teachings but it is well worth getting this book.

This book was published after Martin Lings' passed away.This man was a modern sufi - may his soul rest in peace.The book provides some insight into his life, thinking and what others think about him.BTW - Lings also wrote one of the best biographies of the last Prophet.
