Very sturdy and no slamming seat
Toilet seat has slow return to base which is wonderful. No slamming the seat. Very sturdy and easy to install.

Very nice toilet seat. Highly recommend! :)
Although I wasn't really looking for a silent close seat, I made the purchase anyway because I was having a hard time finding a seat that didn't have this feature. I'll probably just close it faster manually. Anyway, as toilet seats go, this is a solid and lovely looking seat and worth the purchase. The install was a breeze. You will need a 5/8" wrench to complete the install. I am really pleased with this purchase, and I highly recommend it if you're shopping for a new one!

This is the one!!
This toilet seat truly stands out as a remarkable product. Its construction exhibits exceptional durability, suggesting it's built to last for a considerable period. The quality of materials used is evident, reinforcing its premium positioning. Many consider this the best available option currently on the market. It has become my personal "holy grail" for bathroom fixtures.

Good seat. Slow close. Check your dimensions.
Nice comfortable seat. It really does slow close - like 60 seconds! But I assume it may speed up a little after time. Only reason for the 4 stars is that the dimensions are a bit smaller than represented in the diagrams. My toilet is a bit on the wider side, so you see some "edge" of the bowl. Did not bother me enough to return, but to each his own.

Easy install & Sturdy
Easy install. One of the best toilet seats I've had.

Easy to install and super easy to clean
Our older toilet seat broke and I wanted an all plastic one as the wood covered one had started to wear, which is just nasty. Due to miscommunication, my family ended up with 2 toilet seats ordered, both all plastic. One a Kohler (https://amazon.com/K-4636-0-Grip-Tight-Quiet-Close-Quick-Release-Quick-Attach/dp/B000TF1L18) and this one. Pluses for both: They have metal screws (as opposed to plastic in the one that broke) and the seats are all plastic so hopefully won't wear off. Negatives for both: I'm used to a toilet seat closing when I push it closed lightly. These just seem to hang in the air. I assume that as they get used more they will fall all the way down, but so far we've had to push them closed. However, I definitely prefer the Bemis for two reasons. One, the install was easier. The Kohler hinges separated as I tried to tighten the screws part below, so I had to untighten and realign a bit to get the plastic bits not to separate. The Bemis has a longer piece to tighten around the screw and it went right on with no issues. Two, the Kohler has a hinge all the way across the back that I can easily see collecting icky things and being hard to get clean. However, the Bemis has an opening when the seat is up and in fact the top of the seat has a slot where it the bottom fits into. It means it should be much easier to wipe off anything icky from the seat. We've installed both toilet seats since we have 2 toilets, we'll see how they wear over time. :)

No more SLAM!!!
It's kind of weird writing about a toilet seat. But everybody uses one everyday - many times. We came across this seat a very long time ago. We added the first one with skepticism and was immediately hooked thereafter. The slow close feature is incredible. No more waking everyone in the house up in the middle of the night by the harsh sound of a dropped toilet seat. The slow close feature lasts for around ten years before it begins to fail on average (8 years in the busiest restroom, 12 years in the least used). The material the lid and seat are made of is second to none. They are very durable and solid through and through. No more swollen wood under a thin plastic coated seat and lid that require regular annual replacement. The finish on the seat and lid will remain beautiful as long as you care for it with cleaning solutions, not scouring pads and pumice based scrubbing compounds. Most of the damage we've experienced has been by something like screwdriver in my back pocket when I sit down to tie my boots. I have wrongfully and unsafely stood on mine many times. NOT a good idea. But a statement of their strength and durability. I think someone standing on one to look out the window is what broke the hinge after 12 years of service. They are exceptionally easy to install. The porcelain of toilets can be cracked by over tightening the bolts/nuts that hold a seat in place. This seat has bolts/nuts that have a self limiting torque feature wherein the nuts snap off when the desired torque value is achieved. Therefore your seat and lid are tight enough to stay in place, but not so tight the porcelain gets broken. Once the seat is set, it stays in place. It does not slip and twist when you sit on it (or wrongfully stand on it...). So enjoy! :)

So much better than the wood ones.
Great toilet seat. After 2 years the self close stopped working, but it's the longest a seat has lasted in my home. After years of wood, because I thought it would be stronger, I saw this commercial and tried it. So glad I did. The search is over. I plan to install in all 3 of my bathrooms as needed. Only replacing the first because we got a new toilet that came with a crap seat and I didn't think to try to take this off my old toilet before they hauled it away (not sure it would have come off!).
