These are a great value for money for anyone who already owns an Instant Pot pressure cooker. It comes with two stainless steel mesh baskets that can stack on each other pretty well which means you can steam two different types of vegetables or grains or anything at a time without comingling them. These can also work as a strainer too due to their closed mesh structure. These baskets are designed to fit 6 QT and 8QT Instant Pot models only and do not fit any other models especially the smaller 3 QT ones...I tried and the lid doesn't close as the handle sticks up. We primarily use these baskets to steam several vegetables such as carrots, beans, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus etc...we pour about a cup of water in the pot and select the steam function on the Instant pot high pressure for 1-3 mins depending on the quantity and they come out super soft. We then dump out the water from the Instant Pot container; switch it to Sauté mode....add a TBSP of butter, 1 TSP of oil, add about 1 or 2 finely chopped garlic cloves with a pinch of salt and then saute the veggies for about 5 mins and they taste amazing...super healthy too!!!

This set of Instant Pot mesh steamer baskets has quickly become one of my go-to kitchen tools — and not just for use inside the Instant Pot. I often use them in other large 8-quart pots for steaming dumplings, bao, or vegetables, and they hold up beautifully. The build quality is excellent — sturdy, well-weighted stainless steel that feels like it’ll last for years without warping or rusting. The fact that they’re stackable is a huge plus, especially for batch cooking or preparing multiple components at once. They also fit comfortably inside the Instant Pot, as advertised, making them a great dual-purpose accessory. That said, some foods like dumplings can stick to the mesh — nothing that a piece of parchment paper or a light coat of cooking spray can’t solve. They’re easy to lift in and out even when full, and the open mesh allows for great steam circulation, so things cook evenly and efficiently. Overall, this is a functional, versatile steamer set that works well, stores easily, and feels worth every penny — whether you’re using it with an Instant Pot or not.

I wanted this nesting steamer rack set to supplement the dehydration trays I use with both my Instant Pots and my Ninja Foodi. Often, when the diced food is almost dry but not quite, I'll take it off the trays and put it into a different pot just all jumbled together to keep drying while I load up the dehydrator trays with fresh food. I like these because I can have two tiers of nearly dry dices, which helps the air circulate and finish drying the pieces more evenly. And, of course, the baskets are great for what they were made for: steaming stuff. I don't particularly like cooking meats in mesh baskets like these because they are then very hard to clean, but for vegetables they are really super. Even good for air frying if your pot does that. What I was really happy to see, though, is that the smaller, shorter steamer basket fits my 3 qt. Instant Pot that I tend to use to cook dinner for the two of us. It rests on the rim of the inner pot and works okay with the glass lid, which is all I need when reheating or steaming. Mainly, though, it gives me an extra space to drain pasta or canned goods so I can then pour the water out in the compost. I keep my smaller Instant Pot out on the countertop, so I don't have to take up any extra space to use it this way.

I thought I was just buying more kitchen equipment just because I can be totally obsessive about my kitchen utensils. But this stainer just keeps getting better. I use it to make bone and/or vegetable broth and pulling the spent materials out has turned from painful to a snap. Hydrating beans and straining them out of the liquid is easy peasy. Steaming vegetables is trivial. It fits one of my pots as well and works nicely as a pasta strainer. For these things alone, it's made what used to be a chore into a trivial job.
