Carburetor for Suzuki DRZ400 DRZ 400 Kawasaki KLX 450R 2008-2009 Kawasaki KX450F 2006-2009 FCR MX 39mm Carb

Put on 450 KLX during piston change, because factory ran on choke only, works really good,on my bike I had to bend choke knob a little to be able to use it, smooth steady power low and mid comes on 2/3real nice , may raise needle clip ( lower) one position, couldn't be more pleased! 🥧

Quality replacement product. I put this in a 2006 KTM 400 exc. It's darn close to the stock FCR but you will need to rejet before install. There is nothing in terms of customer support so you're on your own in terms of figuring it out. The throttle linkage and the case breather for example are a custom fit. The upper throttle link has a threaded fit, probably for Kawasaki (not sure) that is clearly specific to one very specific linkage set. The lower link is an open c and much easier to work with. I wound up making a custom bung to make the upper linkage work. It was annoying, but overall not bad. Beats spending $400+ on a stock carb for a 25 year old bike.

Added tons of power and throttle response. A fairly difficult install but will work with stock throttle cable. You need the allegeher performance adapter kit available on eBay to make this work with the DRZ 400S manifold and air filter boot. Best upgrade to my bike yet

I can't confirm correct fitting carb but all the reviews for it doesn't fit is because you need throttle cables and Intake boots for a fcr carb on the drz400. If your bike didn't already have a 39fcr mx carb this is not a direct bolt on.

Don't fit with my stock cables

Installed this carburettor on my drz 400e. The main difference with the stock carburettor is the throttle wheel rotates anti clockwise, so you have to put the top throttle cable on the bottom and the bottom one on the top. The throttle cables are not long enough but they can be made to work.Put the carb in place and connect the cables before you fix it to the air box and manifold so you can manoeuvre it to help get the cables connected. You have to wind the nuts on the bottom cable in ,so it fits in to place and the nuts are behind the connection point. Then use a cable tie instead to keep it in place. I screwed the air mixture screw on the bottom all the way in and then backed it out 2 and a quarter turns and then set the idle with the screw and it runs perfect. It comes all assembled so no need to take it apart. Also comes with extra jets. I am a novice at mechanics but watched YouTube vids to help with the install. It took me about 3 hours but should be much quicker if you use this method. Bike now runs great with loads of power. Absolute bargain compared to the price of a genuine keihin carburettor.

We are motobike mechanics and there is no way this carby will fit the DRZ400
