Brantford Chrome PosiTemp Pressure Balancing Tub and Shower Trim Kit without Valve, T62153

Bought this from the used/return list. Item came with all the parts and instructions. Looks really nice and works like it should. After reading a few other reviews I thought I would clear some things up about this item. 1. This is for the trim kit only, and the header in the description clearly states (without valve) 2. This set is for use with current MOEN valves, if you have a different brand, it may not fit. So if your shopping for replacement trim kits you may want to stick with what ever brand you have now or plan on switching out the valve as well. Switching out the valve will require much more work and also more $ as the valve cost about the same as this trim kit. Unless you have some plumbing experience and can solder, you will need a plumber for the valve install. Please check that you have one of the valves listed in the items description. If your not sure, you can Google the valves listed, click IMAGES and look at the pics. 3. I read a review about the tub filler leaking, if this happens, make sure the Black O-ring is in the proper place. It sits down in a grove below the screw that tightens a metal ring to keep the filler attached to the copper pipe. Please note, if you try to put this O-ring in the little slot that moves to tighten around the copper pipe, it will leak, this is not the place for the O-ring. It should arrive in the proper place, but if its not, this will cause the filler to leak. You will see a white plastic ring right next to where the Black O-ring should be, check this before you install and you may even want to put a little soap on your finger and lube it so it slides on easy as well. 4. The white plastic parts are very important so you can limit how hot the water will go, before you completely install the handle, try the water and figure how hot you want the water to go, for us, we have a gas water heater and without this part, someone could easily get burned by hot water.

Moen does it again! I have five bathrooms......and yes, I get to clean all of them. While the master does not have this fixture it does boast a very expensive Moen upgrade over one thousand dollars. I say this because the Brantford looks expensive, cleans easily and many friends have commented on how beautiful it is. The Brantford collection has many accessory items such as hooks, bars etc. You will love the Brantford - it operates accurately and installs easily. I own three of them and I'm sold. Hope you are too.

I loved the look and the price, put when my handyman tried to put it on my plumbing didn't match because my plumbing was to old

Happy to find a shower trim to match our old valve system so we didn't need a plumber. We are not exactly handy, but are unafraid to give things a try. This installed fairly easily. The tub spout is heavy, we had to use clear silicone/caulk to get a better seal. However the old tub spouts distributor had a hissing sound that this spout fixes. As others mentioned the temperature knob is not flush, but that is true for most of the products I saw at the box store. It looks fine to me. The water pressure could be stronger, but I think that about all shower heads.

The pieces were easy enough to install, but the shower head selections were sub-par. Even with the water flow restrictor removed (little round screen inside the shower head that restricts water flow), it took much longer to wash the conditioner out of hair. Most of the selections were mist-like, with the water pushing out to the sides, leaving very little water in the center. The selection with the most pressure was supposed to be the massage-like setting, but even that had a very narrow stream. Ended up swapping out the shower head with a highly rated-cheapo replacement that has more selections and much better pressure coming out.

I liked this set very much. We bought it to replace the one we currently had becuasebthe water was not going up anymore, now it is not a problem and the shower head actually has a lot of pressure! My sister and I actually started installing it and it was fairly easy with the help of the instructions but ultimately my dad finished it off for us, he has more experience. In terms of design it is very beautiful very shiny and the 3 pieces look beautiful together.

These look nice installed. We had some additional tub problems that we found when we were going to install them, so we ended up hiring someone. They actually installed it after finishing their work, so I can’t really speak to ease of installation. They didn’t look too hard though and I’m confident we could have done it had there been no additional issues found.

The trim kit is well made. The instructions are not great. I ended up watching YouTube videos for the install.

We really like the tub faucet and handle. I only gave it a 4 because we did not use the shower head. We bought a different one, so we’ve never used it and do not know how it works.
