Problem Solved!
My ophthalmologist recommended buying progressive readers when I complained to him that I was constantly changing glasses for different situations, such as when I am using my camera and constantly switching between reading the viewing screen in the back to the subject of my photo. I love the fact that there is clear glass at the top, the middle of the lens is for reading material that is maybe an arm’s length away (for instance a desktop computer screen,) and the bottom lens (you pick the magnification when you order) is for reading close up.The design is attractive and contemporary. They fit well and seem to be very well made. After reading several reviews of other less expensive glasses, I decided that these would be worth the higher price. They certainly aren’t that expensive and, so far, seem worth the extra ten or so dollars.

Seem great despite negative reviews
This is my 3rd set of these. They aren't extra durable but with proper use, they are sufficient. Why my third pair? 1 got lost, 1 broke when it hit the tile floor after a 3ft drop, and then the pair that I use every day.The lenses are bigger and clearer than my other Foster Grant styles. The frames are lighter weight.

Stylish and reasonable quality for the price
These glasses get a lot of varying opinions. I’ll try to provide some clarity (no pun intended).First, remember these are $25 glasses with progressive lenses, which normally cost many times what single focus or lined bifocal lenses cost. Are they perfect? Not quite, but would you rather pay $175 or more just for progressive lenses - plus cost of the frame? These are great for trying out progressive lenses for the first time, or to have a pair of no-line glasses you can use for close work and watching TV without taking glasses on and off.The lenses are not perfectly clear. See photo. They have a slight greyish purple tinge; this is probably for filtering blue light. This is MUCH better than yellow tinted blue light filtering glasses that make you look like you have jaundice. Some have noted the lenses reflect light on the inside surface of the lens. This is true and may also be related to the blue light filtering aspect. Personally I might not have noticed it if I hadn’t read about it, and it doesn’t really bother me. I can see how it MIGHT if there is lighting behind you that’s in a position to be reflected. Similarly, the lenses do slightly distort some lights in your field of vision including some “halo” effects.Size: some complain that they’re “too small.” The lens width is 48mm - a very common size for this shape. I prefer this size because I don’t want glasses that are huge or they overwhelm my face. There is plenty of lens to see out of.Frame quality - I’ve only had mine a short time but it seems reasonably well made. The bows “snap” shut when folded which I like.I got the green color which I really like. I’ll live with them a bit longer and may also get them in the brown color. There aren’t many good choices for good looking progressive lens glasses that are cheap. It’s easy to get spoiled by all the extremely cheap SINGLE vision reading glasses. $25 is NOT a lot for truly good looking glasses that are adequate for meeting most close up and distance vision needs. Beats paying optician prices for a first-time or extra pair, or a pair you can afford to lose.

Computer/reading glasses.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Just had cataract surgery. Distance vision no longer a problem but needed something for reading and computer use. These glasses are stylish and effective. The top part of the lens isn't as clear as I'd like, but I only use them for reading or computer work

DO NOT BUY!!
These are horrible!! I bought these readers because I love the style and matted teal color. The design, and lenses are great. What I did not like is that the broke sitting on my dash in the car within a week. I should have returned them (they need to withstand heat to some degree…Ohio, early May), but they don’t. I decided to fix them with contact cement, and that put it back together, only for them to crack again in almost the same location!! See pic at the nose area. Once again, I fixed the glasses. Last week, I put them on again (I’ve rarely worn them…maybe a dozen time since owning them), and I’ll be dipped in tar, the damned things now broke on the left outer side. I’ve done nothing to them to warrant them breaking so easily. The plastic in these frames are so delicate that I don’t see how they can hold up over time.I feel I deserve my $35 back. I’m not one of those that returns everything they buy, or complain about it, but these Foster Grant reader take the cake. You’d think for the premium of $35 for readers, when you can get some for less than $10, that Foster Grant would have used much better plastics than what these are made from.So be aware, these will likely crack on you too. Not worth $5, let alone $35!

My eyes really fight these and the reading part seems super difficult to focus through
So I was hopeful these would work better than they do. The distance is ok... the mid is fine I suppose... it's the reading part that really fails to work well. I find myself switching glasses when I need to read something - which is what I was trying to avoid with these. Ah well. Probably should have returned them but they work well enough in a pinch.

My favorite readers ever!!!
PROS:1. The lenses are the perfect size, so it has total coverage, like there’s not a gap under, over or to the side.2. THEY ARE SO COMFORTABLE that I fall asleep on my side watching my iPad. Normally I have to prop my head up with my hand so they don’t hurt my temples when laying on my side but these are so comfortable I literally forget they’re on! I am the pickiest ever about my glasses so this is huge!!3. They have five-layer anti-reflective coating that minimizes reflections from screens and fluorescent lighting.CONS:1. A little expensive.
