Love Darn Tough - but these are not their Dress socks
Buyer beware - these are not 'Dress Socks' as presented on Amazon. These are their 'Work' socks. If you look closely at the image you will see the ribbing. The 'Dress' socks do not have ribbing. I ordered three pair expecting them to be dress socks - but I was disappointed to see the ribbing and the label on the socks clearly says 'Work'. I own three pair of the 'Dress' socks and they are what they say they are. The reason I'm giving this review a five star rating, in spite of the mistaken presentation, is that I'm just a huge fan of Darn Tough socks. I own several pair and they keep my feet warm in the winter and cool in the summer. They get washed with the rest of my clothes and come back ready to serve. I have two pair that I'm on my third season wearing and they still look and feel like they did after the first wash. So I'll keep these and add them to my collection.

the best socks in the world !
i am from france , and i buy the Darn Tough sockets from Amazon US because they are really amazing. They embrace well your foot , warm in the winter , and ok for the summer. Really versatile. No odors after a long working day.Wear them for a year now , only have 3 to turn around during a week. And all of them are still like the first day.I understand why they are life guaranteed !I buy them also for my wife, and she is also very happy with them.

Indestructible, comfortable, versatile socks
I just bought a few more pairs after being so pleased with a black and a navy pair I bought six months ago. I originally bought the pairs for work after researching indestructible socks online and wanted to test them before going all in. I tend to tear through socks walking about 5-6 miles a day at work and my feet sweat. I soon found myself making extra wash cycles each week to wear these more often and on weekend urban hikes, as well as nature hikes since they keep my feet so dry in all my different shoes. They are my go to sock for all occasions. I almost didn't like them just because they aren't quite as soft to the fingers as my smart wools. But I was tearing through my smart wools, and to be honest my feet can't tell the softness difference at all. Once these are on your feet, they're incredibly conforming and comfy. Lastly, I just noticed that the ones they actually ship are different from their picture. The logo is smaller and on the back of the calf compared to their product photo that shows it larger and on the side of the calf. It was the same on the ones I bought six months ago, which is good because i like the smaller logo better anyways. See my images.

End the tyranny of the Christmas sock drawer
These socks helped me simplify my mess of a sock drawer. I had too many and too much variety thanks to years of receiving socks for Christmas. I transitioned from several dozen pairs to six pairs of the black and four pairs of the blue and my mornings and laundry got a lot easier. They may seem expensive at first but after 18 months these guys are not showing any signs of wear. Also, it's no longer a struggle to match socks as these are easy to tell apart compared to some others I've had. Others have mentioned that they can be a little warm if you live in warm climates. It gets stinkin' hot where I live but I have no problem wearing these socks in the summer. My feet are going to sweat no matter what socks I wear. It's more of a question of how the socks handle the moisture. I find that these do a better job than socks I previously used. I can sweat in them and they don't feel or smell too funky. I've read that you can get away with wearing these multiple days without washing them. I decided to test this when I first got them and wore a pair two days in a row, airing them out at night. I was surprised that there was no odor. However, towards the end of the second day they did start to feel a little funky. Since then, I've washed them with every wear but I would be comfortable going a couple days with one pair if I had to. They're really handy on business trips. You can wear them with your business attire during the day and with your jeans at night. No more Christmas socks for me... unless they're some of these.

Amazing. Flat out.
I bought my first pair of Darn Toughs for backpacking at the recommendation of a friend. I was cautiously optimistic about the 'Lifetime guarantee'. I mean, c'mon....No strings attached? We'll see about that, I thought. After a half dozen test-hikes I packed up 2 pair of Darn Toughs, and 2 pair of my old tried and true Smartwool socks and set off on a 486 mile thru-hike of the Colorado Trail. Upon arriving in Durango, I had long relegated my smartwool socks to pot-holders and emergency hand protection. I was happily swapping my pairs of DT's back and forth, basically rinsing them out in streams along the way between laundry stops in town. I think I wore a single pair of my Darn Toughs for almost 100 miles of hiking at one point. Ya know what? I've bought a few more pairs since and I'd have to inspect each sock to find those two first pairs...They simply don't show any wear. It's unreal.I've bought more of the running socks, you know, for running; and they've become my "only" running socks...3 pair. I ran just a titch over 1200 miles last year. I cycled a bit in them too, both road and MTB. None of those pairs show any appreciable wear after hundreds of miles underfoot for each pair. So, durability aside....I wear a size 9.5 or 10 shoe and I personally feel like Mediums fit me better. So I rated them as running 'somewhat large' I would in reality say between true and a little large. They aren't the cloudy-cuddly softest sock, but they're definitely not rough, or scratchy by any means. Maybe someday I'll get a cushioned pair and see if they're softer. I'll gladly take 'average' comfort in trade for them being virtually indestructible. As other reviewers have noted, they virtually never smell. I've worm mine for 2-3 days on end (gross, I know) , sometimes only taking them off and turning them inside out to hang while I slept/napped before going back on my feet, and they never stunk. If I can't kill a sock abusing it like this, I don't know what can. I've stopped buying any other brand, and am working my way toward a sock drawer full of a variety of DT socks, for work, for running and cycling, for hiking....

The cuff fits snugly against my leg but never leaves marks like cheaper socks and
I've been wearing these once a week for the last six months. What amazes me is that they feel completely new every time they come out of the wash. It is, frankly, extraordinary. The cuff fits snugly against my leg but never leaves marks like cheaper socks and, even in the sweltering heat of the UK summer of 2018, they regulated the temperature of my feet and didn't leave lint on them when I remove them after wearing them for 13 or 14 hours. I haven't had the opportunity to test the return policy although I don't envisage that I'll need to but try not to be put off by the price. These are genuinely amazing.

Expensive good socks
Impressed by the quality but given how expensive these are I’m not surprised. No negatives after first wear, they fit well and are the right thickness. The lifetime guarantee was the reason I purchased these, seems like a great deal

Excellent Socks, incredible company
These merino wool socks are thin, great for use as a dress sock, around the house, warm-weather travel sock, or 3 season layer sock. The company offers a replacement if you ever wear them out, free of charge. This incredible support for their own product is practically unheard of. I've worn out a couple of these, but it's taken a year of consistent daily usage. However, I've always opted to buy new ones as I feel I've gotten my money's worth out of them and I don't want to take advantage of this company's generosity.I tend to always buy Darn Tough socks now. They are all universally good.
