250mm x 300mm Borosilicate Glass Plate Bed for Qidi X-Max 3D Printer

I bought this to upgrade the bed of my qidi x-max and so far it has been a great upgrade. Be sure to utilize hair spray to get your print to stick if utilizing PLA and a glue stick for nylon, etc.Make sure to re-level your bed!!

Perfect size for the X-Max build plate - caution, though: it adds a few millimeters to the height of the plate, and beware putting any clips in the path of the extruder. I glued mine to one of their magnetic plate "stickers". Works perfectly for lower build plate temperatures without adding the clip hazzard. But no matter what: you will need to reteach the home position for the Z-Axis if using this...

Glass looks clean and free of imperfections. Haven’t printed with it yet but looks like a sound product.

So far so good. Test print with Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate was excellent. Easy to remove from bed after printed. Used Glue Stick. Mounted using thermal tape and one of the magnetic sticker boards. :-)

Upon my very first print, my glass was scratched by the scraper tool that came with my Qidi printer that I have been using to remove every project from the printing plate. I was very gentle and delicate (as usual) with the scraper as I removed my face shield from the glass, but unfortunately I noticed a slight nick happen during the process. It was almost as if a sliver of glass was shaved off, leaving a slight indentation. Very disappointing for such an expensive printing board. =(

I purchased 2 of these to replace one that broke after many months of good service. both are about .2mm to thick in the center. I thought there was something wrong with my bed or bowed X,Y bars, until I tested some of the qidi original bed stickers I had packed away, and they leveled out perfectly to disprove other faults.

I wanna give it this a bad review but...It fits perfect and functions well. But the issue is with printing on glass is still there when having to remove the print. Ruined a print by ripping it apart (my own negligence). Got mad, smashed it. Now I don't have it anymore. I would rather just print on the removable build plate with easier print removability.Also drop the bed level down before clamping the glass onto the bed then do a leveleling session for that.

I was extremely nervous about getting glass shipped to me, but Amazon came through again with their awesome packaging - this glass sheet is in perfect shape and is everything I had hoped for.

NAtürlich muss man die Platte befestigen - man kann das mit Kleber auf der Aluplatte befestigen oder auf einer alten MAgnetplatte - nicht vergesen vor Z-Achse nach unten zu nivellieren.Für das Drucken von TPU optimal -manche PLA Sorten machen Probleme...Aber eine gute Alternative zur Originalplatte...
