I have only just received this and so can't give a long-term review but first impression is that this is a well-built piece of kit. I bought it for use with a pair of Celestron 25 x 100 binoculars (heavy duty with the emphasis on HEAVY) but have also used it with my Nikon D810 camera with 80 - 400 mm lens attached. Now this camera/lens combination comes in a hefty 2.7kg and the tripod head held it rock-steady and even holds it still without tightening up the clamps.So far I have no complaints at all and wish I'd gone with a pan/tilt head rather than a ball head years ago.On the slight downside if using it with a camera wou cannot flip it through 90 degrees for a portrait shot but I have another tripod for that so it doesn't bother me and therefore doesn't affect my rating.

Amazing value for the money. You can feel the sturdy build of this product when you take it in your hands. It seems difficult to move when its not on a tripod but once you mount it on top of one you will feel that your camera is safe and it gets much easier to move.The fluid head is a great addition for the gear to any photographer or videographer

The general construction is good, nice finish, good lock screws and mounting arrangements. When mounted on my existing tripod head there is too much height allowing too much flexibility in the vertical plane, confirming the need for a strong short direct mount into a flat base. This is not clear from the product photograph or product description. The base provided is 60 mm diameter and 5 mm deep with 3/8 inch screw hole. 1/4 -3/8 adapter is included with several Allen keys.

A bit to flimsy for my liking, good enough to use and don’t want to return it, but wish I spend some more and bought a better one

The item arrived in the most disgusting state. It was damaged and scratched beyond belief. There should be an option for no stars.I have kept photos of it right out of the box.
