Love this food processor, slicer, shredder
I got my Cuisinart Element 8 and immediately tried it out in my kitchen. As you can see, I made about 2lbs of hummus and sliced up a cucumber, and red and green peppers. I was able to do all of this in about 10 minutes with no mess or leaks. I like the ease of assembly. On first use, be careful to slowly seat the plastic bowl in the base, and likewise take your time getting the lid to seat on the plastic bowl. Once assembled, next time is a cinch and using the processing blade and slicers is quick and easy, I love it, and am enjoying some of the freshly made hummus in between writing sentences of this review. Seems to work great, and the hummus came out creamy smooth in under a minute. My old little 2 cup Kitchen Aid model took about 5 minutes to make hummus and it was still a bit lumpy- not this baby as it has plenty power and quickly processes the beans to a smooth and creamy consistency. I love it and think the Cuisinart Element 8 is a good value as priced on Amazon and I’ll be using it several times a week to speed up my processing, slicing and dicing tasks. It makes these timing consuming and messy tasks quick and easy. Stop shopping, just buy it and enjoy!

Solid kitchen tool
After my very old/they don’t make ‘em like that anymore(Sears)processor broke, I was very sad. But I’d always wanted a cuisinart so after 30 years I decided now was the time. This is cuisinart number two, after I purchased a huge 1000 watt cuisinart elite 2.0 model for a great deal considering the wattage, warranty and options. But, I’m not a fan of the gasket it has... while I see it could be useful for certain things, cabbage got stuck around it first time I used it for coleslaw. I packed it back up and looked here on Amazon for something simpler, less trouble. I found this smaller cuisinart, no gasket. With the very simple, click on the workbowl, insert blade, click on lid and process. Cleanup is much easier than the elite model. I am probably going to send it back and get the basic 14 cup for a larger option to have on hand. But I really like this basic cuisinart and it’s staying right here 😉 Highly recommend...for a good price it still feels pretty powerful, does it’s job(s) and cleanup is easy. It’s not so heavy that you dread getting it out either. Glad I got this one! Ps. The stem is a little wobbly but husband thinks it’s ok. There’s a stabilizing hole in the bowl lid. Doesn’t affect performance, I’m not worried about it. Also, chopping blade is ULTRA sharp, be VERY careful, lesson learned there.

I would buy this again!
I got this a few weeks ago. I was holding off from reviewing it before I tried it by slicing or chopping multiple things. I’ve had a small food chopper in the past, and I had that for about 25 years until the top fell on the floor and broke. I’ve used that and in combination with an expensive mandolin. So, I never really felt like I needed a food processor. Fast forward a bit. My husband, Johnnie, got me this as a present. I was absolutely amazed at how fast I was able to slice 3 lbs of onions for French Onion soup. I then used it to slice all of the veggies for a Chicken Spinach lasagna and then I used it slice mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Tonight I used it to finely chop dried French bread into crumbs for stuffed pork chops. I’ve really put this device through the paces. It’s done a good job other than with the cheeses. It left globs not shredded. It really didn’t like chopping the dried bread. It danced all around the counter. I liked the size of the device the best. It’s only two of us, so I find for most recipes the size works. For the lasagna, I first chopped the veggies then shredded the chicken in it, rinsed it out and dried with a paper towel, and then shredded the cheeses. I think a larger food processor would be too large for what I make everyday. Like with the French Onion soup, I ran it until it was full and then dumped out the onions (about 3 or 4 times). The second thing I love is how easy this is to clean. You can just pop it in the top rack of the dishwasher. Next thing I like is using the pulse function for chopping onions. I think I eat onions in about everything I make. I really love the versatility of this machine. I would definitely buy it again.

Quiet operation; good workhorse
I ended up having to purchase this item at Target because Amazon mistakenly sent me a coffee maker on Prime Day instead even though my order was clearly marked “food processor.” I returned the mistaken item, but I needed a food processor right away. After that senseless delay, brick and mortar shopping was required. Overall, it’s a satisfyingly quiet machine with good chopping and whipping abilities. I did have to stop the machine to mix up some cauliflower a bit while I was whipping up some keto mash, because it seemed to not pull down the florets that had settled on top. That could have been user error—-me overpacking the container. It made a decent job of chopping up loads of parsley for a big batch of chimi churri (only the parsley and garlic…the sauce was finished in a bowl). Just be careful not to walk away or it will pulverize stuff. I have yet to use the slicing and shredding discs that come with the machine, but I’m sure they will be satisfactory. Overall, a good machine for an excellent price with more than enough room for the needs of a daily home cook.

My order was promptly delivered as stated ! Thank you Amazon! Very nice looking product. I only tried it once so far, chopping onions. Quick and easy. Did a nice job. It was easy to assemble and operate. I acclimatized myself on how to use it watching the appropriate instruction Cuisinart Processor video to ensure proper use, the do’s and do nots. Very helpful. Product seems very light all around so I hope it will holdup after time! I still have my well functioning much older bigger, heavier stronger motor Cuisinart Processor DLC10 with all the attachments.......... alas a model produced before being free of BPA’s. . Therefore this recent purchase because I feel better about it being BPA free..... a shame Cuisinart did not produce updated bowls and accessories for their older models.
