Another great Otterbox Case
Great protection and functionality. Yes, it makes your thin, light iPad Air 2 heavier and more bulky (it IS and Otterbox after all), but the trade off is that it just feels more protected. I'm using the case in conjunction with an Anker tempered glass screen protector and the fit is great; the rubber "lip" of the case aligns almost perfectly and creates a fully protected combo. Going back to the case, here's the pros/cons: Pros: -Great fit -very solid feel; the wrap-around magnetic closure makes it feel more protective than a simple non-wrapping flap. I believe that the cover itself is a vinyl covered piece of plastic (like the "body" of the case). It doesn't flex as much as the standard chipboard/cardboard covers on other cases and when it's closed, I feel like it could take a minor beating and survive. -I rarely need/use the rotation feature, but nice to be able to use the integrated stand in portrait mode if desired Cons: -Added bulk (I hesitated to put this as a "con" since in this case it seems to equal "more protection" but some folks will see it as a negative)

Incredible Purchase
So I bought the Otterbox Symmetry to replace a Logitech case I recently purchased (the other case was horrible....) Anyway, this case is probably the best case I ever purchased!!! It is so well made. It looks so rich and elegant. It feels so durable. Its easy to use. I love the 365 degree rotation. I am so happy with my purchase!! I finally have a great case to protect my ipad. A shout-out to the seller as well!! Cell 4 Less - great to deal with. Answered an email right away. Highly recommend this seller as well!!

Good, Protective Folio Case that Needs Some Refinement
UPDATED 11/19/15 (see below) I travel regularly and wanted a more protective case for my iPad Air 2 than the Apple Smart Cover and shell I already own so I purchased the OtterBox Symmetry Folio. I had an OtterBox Defender case for my original, first-generation iPad. It offered great protection, but was a bit bulky. It was with this experience in mind, that I looked at the Symmetry Folio this time. While I like the case overall, it falls short in a couple key areas that I felt were significant enough to deduct two stars. The Good The case itself is very well-constructed and offers protection for the back and corners. The hard shell back cover is thicker than the Smart Cover's version and the folio cover itself it stiff enough to inspire confidence that the screen will be protected if you drop the case while it is closed. All the ports and buttons align perfectly and there is no need for an extension adapter for headphones. I also like the innovative way the case handles rotating between landscape and portrait modes. The rotation mechanism is well designed, sitting flush and not impacting the overall width or bulk of the case like similar cases from other companies do. The case is also lined with a soft, durable surface that has just enough resistance to hold the iPad in place in the multiple molded ridges that allow you to adjust the angle of the screen to your liking. Finally, the screen cover folds relatively flat behind the back cover for decent one-hand use despite the overall size and thickness. The Not So Good The rotation mechanism is solid, but could use some refinement. While it performs well in moving between landscape and portrait orientations, it does so in an inexact way which can lead to misalignment when you close the case. Perhaps in the next version of this case OtterBox could add some stops in the mechanism to ensure proper alignment. You may need to adjust it so that the magnets line up correctly so the flap closes. Which brings me to the second issue - the magnets. As others have pointed out, the magnets are very weak and consequently the flap itself doesn't seem to lock in securely. Also, I have not been able to get the auto wake/sleep function to work with this cover. It worked seamlessly with the Smart Cover, but it does not work with the Symmetry case I received. I can't be sure, but I believe this is likely related to how weak the magnets are in this case or I could have just received a bad copy of the case since others have said it auto wake/sleep feature works. Prospective buyers should also note that this case is on the hefty side. Conclusion A solid entry from OtterBox into the folio case market that offers the traditional OtterBox protection with some nice innovative touches that sets it apart from similar offerings from other companies. However, it needs a bit of refinement and perhaps some more exhaustive quality control to ensure all the features work properly. At an average cost of $60, most consumers aren't going to want to receive a case that falls short in some basic areas. UPDATE 11/19/15 Having taken the advice of the very helpful Otterbox customer service team member that replied to my original post, I received a new copy of the Symmetry Folio. Unfortunately, it exhibits the same shortcomings as the original - weak magnets and inoperative sleep/wake feature. I will not adjust my review since the 3-star rating already reflected these issues.

Great product!
I bought this for my 12 year old boy's iPad Air 2 and I really like how it feels and how it fits. Magnetic flap works well so far. All the edges are covered to protect iPad. Will update on wear & tear later. Update: it's been 3 months, magnetic part still works well if you aligned the cover properly. If your iPad is slightly tilted when you close the flap, magnet doesn't close well. So far, my son loves it. It has protected Ipad from dropping few times.

Good solid case and good price point for good name product
I upgraded just because I had a kiddy case on it for my kids but they have moved on to their own iPads so I felt I needed a more grown up/ boring look (lol). Kidding aside, this case is as pictured- black, leather-ish material, professional. I think this case will live up to its Otterbox name, which I have always been a fan of. Nice grip and secure hold of the iPad itself, rotation of the device from portfolio and landscape is a bit rough but I'm hoping it will loosen up a bit or I'll get more used to it but function is there and I'm happy with that, material appears to be durable and well made. The weight of case and iPad is a bit heftier than I would like but it is not a deal breaker for me as long as my iPad is protected.

Good solid protection and nice looking case
This is a nicely made protective case for my iPad Air2. I wanted protection, quality, and the ability to rotate the screen. It has a nice finish and a flap to keep it closed, so I'm not worried that it will open when carrying it. I'm happy with it. The only quirk is that if you rotate to portrai and then put it back to horizontal, you have to adjust it carefully or it will be off kilter. I would buy this again. The price here is much better than what I would pay in a big box store. A+.

BUY IT!!
This product is the best case I have found for my IPad. It protects it and it allows me to use my IPad in portrait or landscape position. It does not have a screen protector but i already had one on my IPad when i bought this case. It wraps around the front of the IPad and it's magnetic closer is secure. I would buy this product again and I recommend this product to anyone who owns an IPad Air 2.

OK so this is not a lightweight case, but it will protect your iPad well from drops and other accidents. I like the professional look and the inner liner pattern is nicely modern. The ability to rotate to portrait orientation works well and is a big plus. Hard-wearing and looks like it will last for years.
