No temp limit
This works great and makes hot water even in the dead of winter. Only draw back is there is no temp control. There are some adjustments, but it doesnt limit the temp (the LED is just a display of temp). I once had it spike to over 150f (65c). It did have a safety at that point, but thats way past scale.

item replaced. great customer service. very happy now. upgrade to 5 stars 🌟
i bought this as a replacement. i was very pleased with the performance and it worked flawlessly until a few weeks ago. i replaced the gas regulator - batteries - gas tank. it will not come light i have no idea what to do next to troubleshoot the uniti received feedback from the supplier with corrective suggestions. after fiddling with it the heater came to life working properly for several days suddenly as before it stopped working - it lighted maybe 3 out of 10 tries then stopped working altogether. it’s a shame, when working it was fantastic - now i believe it’s turned into wall artvery disappointingany suggestions? My replacement heater has worked flawlessly until last week. The igniter worked on and off. I replaced the batteries and switched gas tanks - no sparkReplaced July ‘23. Certainly thought it should last more than a year plus a few days

Don't waste your money.
Don't waste your time. The unit replaced another unit that was exactly the same and this unit did not work at all. No way to open it up. No way to regulate it and there were no serial numbers or model numbers on the unit. Pure John had to throw it out and wasted money. We need a zero Stars button.

Water heater
Bought to put in my inlaws offgrid cabin and run it off a 20lb cylinder, has worked great,i dont know if its actually an issue but if they arent there for 2 months you have to take the 2 D batteries out of it or they start to corrode,my cabin next to it with a different brand doesnt do that so i dont know why

Excellent product
I used this unit to replace an oil burning furnace for hot water simply mounted the unit supplied water in and out and a small propane tank this unit makes more than enough hot water anytime it's needed on the lowest setting it took about 2 months to go through a 20 lb grill tank of propane I used to buy over $50 in heating oil a week for less water than what this unit makes super easy installation and can be run off grid as it only uses two double a batteries and a tank of propane

Works well
Had in installed for 6 months for 700 sq ft house. Provides plenty of hot water. Once dialed in works perfectly. Took a few days of adjusting the setting to get water temp perfect.FYI, when installing, display only lights up when water flowing through system.Make sure incoming propane pressure is set correctly. Must use a propane regulator.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS- This company does not keep product promises
I bought this unit in October, properly installed with drain valves. Ran it a dozen times then drained it for the winter. I live in a climate that rarely freezes and the unit itself is in a microclimate inside a shed under a large tree and it never gets to or below freezing.So- I drained it AND it never froze. But when I primed it for the spring it burst a small hole in The very top of the water line in the top of the unit. Meaning, even if I wouldnt have “fully drained” it and it froze, that there would not have been any water in the part that broke. BUT- the company insist it is my fault and they will do nothing to repair or replace the unit 5 months after purchase. They claim I did t drain the unit and that’s why it broke- they are full of crap!
