This is the best sander I have ever used. Even better than the Festool Random Orbital Sander ETS 125 REQ-Plus. This Bosch is more comfortable to use and is less than half the price of a similar Festool sander. There is very little vibration and it is comfortable to use for long periods of time. I have it hooked up to a HF dust extractor and there is virtually no dust when used with a high quality sanding disk. It packs a lot of power. I haven't had a need to use the turbo mode, so I cannot comment on that. It took a fraction of the time to sand 2 large tables than with the smaller Bosch 5" ROS I also own. I've used it at all the speeds and it performs like a champ. I wish I would have purchased this years ago.

This thing is a beast! Superior dust collection and power. I've had a Festool Rotex for about six years now and this Bosch is the hands down winner. You get a more powerful sander than Festool offers at less than half the price AND with better dust extraction! Ergonomically I like it better than the Rotex as the barrel grip just feels more comfortable in my hand. I use mine with the ceramic mesh sanding discs and after wiping off the wood with a micro fiber cloth there is little to no dust residue left on the work piece. I was looking to replace an aging Porter-Cable 7336 that I started out with my cabinetry business 20 years ago and didn't really want to drop another $700 on a Rotex. The Porter-Cable served me well but as you may know it is a defunct company now and getting repair parts for wear items is next to impossible now. This Bosch has permanently retired the old Porter-Cable and is now top dog sander in the shop. It has literally cut my sanding tasks in half over what I'm used to. It truly is a huge time saver. The help gets to use the Rotex now! If you are a professional like me or even just a hobbyist woodworker this is one purchase you won't regret and there will be one less overpriced Festool item you wont have to drool over!
