This thing worked great! It revived my 28 year old Coleman stove, which otherwise was working great. The air pump simply wore out. I was hoping to not have to replace the whole stove, as that would have been a waste. Luckily, I found this replacement part and am back in business. It was extremely easy to replace. I'm not exaggerating when I say it might have taken me 45 seconds to do it. I unscrewed the old one, gripping it with a pair of channel locks, then screwed in the new one. It only took a quarter turn. Yay!!

My old Coleman Powerhouse Unleaded 428 was a gift from my father in law several years ago. It worked well for a year or 2 but eventually I couldn't get any air pressure into the fuel tank. I put it aside and kept it in the garage somewhere collecting dust and grime. A few days ago I rediscovered it when I was cleaning out the garage and decided to get my YouTube Certification on fixing the thing. Found this part, easy swap using just a pair of pliers (also used some 3-in-1 oil to lube up the rubber piece). It was a much tighter fit than the old one, and after the requisite 35 pumps, the tank was fully pressurized, and she started right up! Gas was probably several years old too.... (note that the new one comes with some black plastic thingy that I didn't need, and see in one picture how the old rubber thingy is kinda flat. The new one is flared outward for a nice seal)

These pump kits are just what I needed for 2 older Coleman lanterns. The older one from 1991 uses the older type connector to the lamp and I had to change the newer type that comes installed on it to the older style. That was a bit of a pain, getting the retainer off, but I managed and the kit comes with all the parts needed to change to the old style. The other one was used on a lantern bought around 2005 or so, which uses the retainer that was installed on the kit and was a direct drop in replacement. Now, both lanterns pump up like new and they should be good to go for years to come.

This universal plunger was just as expected and described. I am happy with how it worked for me. Would recommend to others.

30年物のガソリンランタン286.288に使用。 ５秒で火が消えるようになってしまったので、ジェネレータは先日交換済みゆえにとりあえずボロいプランジャーを交換してみました。 それでしっかり点灯するようになりましたし、何より必要ポンピング回数がめっちゃ減りました。 新品ってこんなに違うんですね…
