Perfect pan for multiple uses.
Perfect size for a small family, one-pan meals, and general use. Sits flat on a glass range, which is critical to not having hot spots.Easy to use, easy to clean, and so far, sitting flat on out ceramic range. One has to be careful not to set the heat too high, but that the usual thing with non stick.Whats not to like?

Good Pan/Beware of condition
This is a great pan all around, but beware of the product’s condition when shipped. I bought this pan Brand New and it came scratched. Nothing too serious, probably stacked at the shipping center but when you’re paying for a new item, you usually expect it to be in new condition.

Love, love, love the deepness of this pan!
I bought this pan because I like the 8" omelet pan so much (maybe even more than my 8" ScanPan). My 10" ScanPan is almost ridiculously shallow and lacks a lid, so I was looking for something deeper. So far, this Chef's Pan has been perfect! Makes it SO much easier to sauté veggies then add-in rice or pasta: no need to transfer to a bigger, deeper pan. The lid will be wonderful if I need to hold food in a warm oven, and it fits like a glove. The nonstick finish on the omelet pan has stood up very, very well (I am careful with it) so I anticipate that the finish on this pan will hold up well, too. We shall see.I now crave a somewhat large version-- 10 - 11" (not as big as 12")-- also with a lid, for larger, bulkier recipes. OXO, are you listening?

Disappointed in quality
Oxo is a good brand name you'd think you could rely on. So I ordered this pan with great expectations. However, I was so disappointed when I got it and the lid didn't fit. There is a gap on both sides. This is obviously poor quality control. I understand that this happens sometimes but now I have to go through the hassle of returning it. I would love this pan because the size and the non stick it good quality. But I probably won't order another one because I don't want to risk getting another defective lid.

Exactly what I wanted
I needed a replacement fry pan and I take cookware pretty seriously. I watched dozens of test kitchen and youtube videos, read reviews, asked around, stressed needlessly...and this seemed a good choice.Yes, it absolutely needs some butter or oil to be truly non-stick.Yes, it is ridiculously easy to clean.Yes, it heats evenly.Yes, when I set it on a flat surface, the bottom is flat...unfortunately my gas stove grates are not. sigh.Yes, it can go into an oven under 425.Yes, it will probably warp if exposed to too-fast temperature changes...so don't do that. No, the cooking surface isn't perfectly flat, a little high in the center. No, I don't expect the non-stick finish to last forever, but I'm careful so a year or two works for me.No, it doesn't tip as long as it is evenly supported.Yes, I would buy this again and have already recommended it to my foodie friends.p.s. the money you save on this pan can go toward a high quality knife!
