Naissance Amber Essential Oil (10ml)

Revising my original review....It smells terrible when you sniff from the container but in my diffuser? Whole different story. It's just want I wanted.

I hate giving bad reviews, of all the dozens of reviews I've written, this is the only one under 4 stars I've felt needed to be done:( Anyways, yes, this amber smells like a spicy Indian cuisine. I love me some Indian food, but the fragrance is not what I was expecting for this! It is not soft and powdery and smooth smelling, it is quite harsh and it does NOT smell good! I have smelled other amber and this is pretty awful. I would not recommend this product, this is not how a good, smooth amber should smell.

A friend recommended it and I thought it was ok on her but now that I have the product I'm not a fan of the smell, very potent but the shipping was on time and the price was conservative.

Smells OK - kind of heavy and pungent. Delivery and packaging by this vendor was excellent. I will keep looking for Amber Essential Oil I really did not like the smell of this one. Does not smell like good quality Amber but it is an essential oil and not a fragrance oil.

I thought this was amber essential oil, but it's amber FRAGRANCE oil, difference which is HUGE. However, it does smell great actually, so I'll keep it, though would not have paid the price for a fragrance oil, as I make fragrances myself.

This is an extraordinarily nice amber. The bottle it comes in is pretty low quality - the stopper portion of the cap disconnected from the cap itself the first time I opened it and lodged in the mouth of the bottle, requiring some messy pulling to remove. Don't let that discourage you. It starts out a bit acrid, but let it mellow for a minute and it becomes a lovely sweet, warm, complex scent, exactly what you want from amber.Be prepared to decant it into a better bottle.

It smells like an East Indies bazaar which wouldn't be so bad except it is totally over-powering.( Imagine x20 ) It has an acrid under-tone that burned my sinuses & made my eyes water.The packaging was great & I had no problem opening the bottle. The bottle top comes with a liner to ensure that the contents don't leak out. All good things. Except I can't stand how it smells.

The label came saying "AMBER SANDAL" which I assume to mean a blend of amber and sandalwood, not AMBER as pictured. Even if it were that blend it shouldn't smell like this. Very pungent and not at all what I would expect. I create my own blend of those oils which is soft, warm, and sweet smelling. This is very acrid and pointy smelling and nearly made me nauseous.I went to return and Amazon refunded my purchase so that is nice, but if you are looking for good amber look elsewhere.
