(Pack of 6) Grace Instant Cornmeal Porridge 60g

This is an excellent Caribbean cornmeal porridge. Having had this hand made for us when we stayed with friends in Jamaica, we recommend it!

Bought loads, great product, good value for money

It's a convenient way to get a nutritious breakfast on the go, tasty and easy to prepare.

These are some delicious and very filling, I brought these so in would stop missing breakfast in the mornings and as they are filling less snacks throughout the day. However, upon reading the ingredients this will be my first and last purchase 😔. Not because of taste or anything of that nature, purely due to the genetically modified ingredients! As I've become more mature I play a lot more attention to my health and this item conflict's with my view of healthy eating. So while I give this item 100% for flavour and texture, the ingredients to achieve this type of quality is not to my liking. Should they develop an 100% natural item, I will reconsider my custom. As the company themselves (blue mountains peak) whom supplied the item provided a good and prompt delivery service.

I did not like this corn porridge at all

I have bought these before from many different places in person and so when I saw these on Amazon of course I was keen to try them… It didn’t take long for the disappointment to start setting in! So firstly it says it contains milk and so add boiling water instead of milk… This makes the whole thing watery and not like it should be. Secondly it said ready in 5 minutes…. In 5 minutes it was no closer to ready and with water you are left with settled water above the porridge…. Had to microwave it to thicken to normal consistency (which wasn’t normal with water). The experience is different with milk which thickens a little bit more but still not enough so ultimately still needed microwaving but was creamier. And Lastly the Taste…. I have no idea what is used in these to sweeten or whatever it is however whatever they are using taste really strongly artificial and there is nothing you can do to get rid of it (no spices help). I don’t know if it is a recipe change or whatever the case may be but I don’t remember these tasting like this before… I wouldn’t buy these again which was just for convenience of quickness or recommend to anyone else however in the long run the old fashioned way to cook on stove is the only way to go… especially to allow you to season to taste.
