I wash blankets all the time! My son is a proud bedwetter. With this, I no longer have to remove the mattress protector and fitted sheets which makes making it bed FAR MORE EASIER. I purchased another one and he urines straight through it. This one actually prevents the urine from flowing into the bottom layers.

I had a relative in hospice living with me. She was in hospice and hospice usually provides all the necessary things needed to keep a person comfortable. The provided disposable bed pads and those really didn't help much. They are thin, they don't absorb, they bunch up in the bed, just not good at all. My relative wore diapers, but let's face it diapers leak also. I ordered these hoping it would make my life easier and help keep her dryer, and these definitely did. They are larger, very absorbent and don't bunch up or tear when I have to move them around. I used these regularly, usually 2-3 a day, so I was constantly doing laundry also. These wash well, I must have washed them dozens of times and they held up well. In fact, so well that I ordered a second set so I wouldn't have to do laundry every single day. ~~ Now that I don't have a use for them anymore, I've given them to a friend who is training her puppy, she likes them better than using puppy pads ... pretty much for the same reasons.... good size, absorbent, easy to wash.

Update: We actually put these in the dryer now and they are just fine. We wash and dry them regularly.These pads work GREAT to protect the mattress from getting wet! We use these pads under the fitted sheet but on top of the mattress pad and they absorb all the wetness so the mattress and mattress pad stay dry! I slip these pads out from under the fitted sheet if they get wet so I can wash them or at the very least, can let them air out for the day since it says not to let them stay wet.My sons love that they are soft so they don’t feel them underneath and they aren’t crinkly or noisy at all either!The only thing I would caution you to is just to give the pads plenty of time to air dry (at least 4-6 hours) after washing since they can’t go in the dryer and you don’t want to put them back on the bed if they are damp.These pads work better than any waterproof mattress cover we’ve tried before!

It’s large enough to cover a chair. I have not used it on a bed.

I like that it is large and is washable. I use it on my elderly mother’s bed to protect it from accidents.

These work wonderfully. Used them in the bed with my grandmother and they are super absorbent and easy to wash. Definitely recommend these for any absorbent needs.
