Spectre 305W-2560UN Gaming Monitor. 21:9 is only 12 inches high. Best suited for Gaming.
Overall, it seems like a good Monitor; didn't rate for gaming, bought it for wide view home office. Picture looks good, VESA mount is attached to back of monitor with a single screw. Clever design as the four 75mm spaced Spectre mounting plate screws attaches to your Monitor stand VESA mounting plate and the whole shebang is attached with only a single screw to the monitor itself; one screw easier to attach than 4 screws. Not a problem if once in place you don't change monitor position. For sit, stand, sit, stand, the monitor may feel somewhat less than 100% solid. The single screw is plenty strong enough, it won't break or come apart. You'd have to see for yourself how that's accomplished. This is not a deal breaker, the monitor is fairly light at 9 lbs. For most, not an issue at all. Though noticeable, wasn't a big deal for me. My lone complaint, (this type of thing is so common, i.e. product ads leave out important detailed information. Should go to Manufacture website and download Manual before purchase). In this case, the Monitor is supposedly rated as being 16 inches high. I bought it based on that measurement. Wide-view at 21:9 is purpose-built for gaming. Monitor is actually only 12 inches high.16 inches height is including the stand, not mentioned on the Web Page! At 12 inches of 1080p vertical, some of my old 2012 Mac Mini software does not auto adjust the picture. works with 3:4 ratio, or 16:9. HDMI 1.4 should work, but Mini does not like 21:9. Too much screen real estate submerged below bottom of screen. You can scroll up and down, but picture is too big: Monitor too short -- either way, take your pick. Macs and most PC's no problem. The only way to tell is buy to try. For most, for gaming, not a problem. My opinion--For Home Office a 27 inch 2K 16:9 - 2560x1440. A 32 inch 2K, even regular 27 or 32 inch 1080p Monitor dimensionally better suited for home use. Other reviewers have rated it for gaming. If purchasing for gaming, lots of reviews. For Home Office, you may want to carefully consider all the relevant factors in making a decision depending on hardware and application. Monitor arrived well packaged and works like it was designed to work. I am returning the Monitor for reason stated above - Low height exacerbated by 21:9 aspect ratio. What would be ideal for me is 30 inch 2K monitor, but 2K only 27 or 32 inch. F.Y.I., you should always keep the original packaging, at least until return window is passed - maybe longer. While unpacking, I take special notice of how packaging is all put together so I can return exactly as It came to facilitate a smooth no-hassel Return.

Probably going to get a second one, BUT...
I've had this monitor for almost 2 months now. It replaced a 27" flat screen which (I didn't realize until I made the change) was washing out the colors. It's important for you to know that for this review. After all, you jump from a 1997 car to a 2022 car, you're obviously going to be amazed, right? My old computer died and I had to build a new computer. I figured while I was about it, I should get a sexy new monitor with it. One of my friends was going on, and on, and on, and onnnnnnn about how he was going to get a curved monitor, which I hadn't even heard about before. Well, new computer, worth searching 'curved monitor', and here I am. I have a Radeon RX 6600 XT GPU. Don't scoff, I know it's not cutting or bleeding edge. I build my computers for affordability, and upgradeability. That USD $900 GPU card you're trying to hijack Amazon drivers for today will be dirt cheap relatively soon. That said, almost everything I've put this monitor through has been amazing: Colors: Again, the old monitor was apparently washed out, but seriously vibrant colors, black is suuuuuuuper black. Resolution: Hit or miss. Sometimes content I'm streaming has black bars to the left and right. Sometimes I can't go full screen because it just zooms in on whatever portion of the screen it feels like. Maybe it's the graphics card, I don't know. However, every video game I've played has been truly full screen so far. Civ 6, Killing Floor, World of Tanks, Fallout 4. Though I don't use this for work, the monitor has worked amazingly for Word and Excel. Sturdiness: This monitor is sitting on my desktop. Once, I bumped heavily into the desk and freaked out that the monitor would tumble off the back of it (no wall behind the desk). It didn't. The base is a sturdy metal, but it's a ring. I don't know if it would make a difference if it were solid, I think it would make a difference if that ring/ base went further behind the monitor than it does, but I don't detract a star for my clumsiness. I will instead find some way of securing the front of that ring to my desk, preferably without having to screw into the desk surface, but that option is not ruled out. Price: I remember paying this much for my first, I think it was 20", flat screen. Not only am I happy about the price, I'm starting to give serious consideration to getting a second one of these monitors (and possibly having to secure them using screws, ugh). Overall: Zero regrets. Perhaps I don't have the refined eyes of the many nay-sayers in these reviews. But it's amazing for gaming, it's excellent for streaming, and there are no issues with Word or Excel. Everything I need, in a very reasonably priced package!

Amazing Budget Monitor.. provided you don't intend to use the speakers..
So I bought the Sceptre C305W to replace a 32in 1080p TV used as my main monitor, and finally retire a 24in Acer that came with a poorly thought out decision back in 2014.. And boy did it replace and retire things. tl;dr pros and cons: +Aesthetically Pleasing +Easy to use/navigate onboard UI +Amazing Picture Quality +Blue Light Filter +Budget Monitors Done Right -Speakers are relatively non-existent -May not work in a dual monitor setup for some The overall quality of the item is far superior to many of the monitors I've come across aside from the clearly $400 and up crowd. Visually it's stunning, and as far as aesthetics go... if I could drop memes here.. there's a certain disney character showing bliss that'd appear right now. But it's clear and vivid. and the settings can definitely add a lush sense of color to it without straining your eyes (I upped the contrast/saturation a tad, yet turned on the blue filter mode). 85hz is a bit of a weird space to put yourself in, when most monitors in the budget category are 60hz, mid are 144hz and top line are 244hz, but I gotta say Sceptre.. you do it well. Games definitely seem more fluid, and I don't see tearing from the monitor between 30-85fps, meaning games locked at 30fps or 60fps look just as good as they were intended. But where the product falls off is when it comes to audio quality... Did you know it came with built in speakers? If you didn't, you're not far from wrong.. audio through the speakers (at max volume) comes in at a dull whisper. At first I thought it was simply because this is the first monitor I owned that allowed me to use Display Port cabling.. but no.. tried HDMI (for PC and my PS4).. and that was even worse for audio.. didn't know it could've been til then. I tried a workaround using a set of Logitech stereo speakers (a fine investment of $25 for audio SCIENCE!) and for the PC side of things.. works a treat with the external speakers taking the role of playback. HDMI (PS4/PC) even after consulting reddit, discord and other audio forums... stark silence or dull whisper were my only options.. But don't let this damper your spirits when thinking of buying this monitor, just know that the speakers it claims to come with... aren't really there.. Other than that, it's a great purchase, and when it's on sale it's even better! And to Sceptre: I know I just blasted a rather unimportant portion of the hardware I purchased. I even admit to loving everything else about it. But hear me out here. How about we turn the tables on the likes of LG and Samsung and the rest of them, and make you a big name in the US PC market again. And with this monitor and a few tweaks we can, and would, absolutely do it. Get rid of the built in speakers, and make this a 144hz monitor. You can up the price a hair for the exchange (let's say $250-275, but no more than $300). Take away what's useless, and make a monitor that more will jump on! Sincerely, A guy who just wants to have his nice things be nice. (I will also volunteer as tribute for any testings, wink wink)

Great monitor
Great monitor, I liked it so much I bought 2. Very easy to install onto the included mount. The do not weigh that much. I am using displayports and the picture is great. I do not game much but I did reinstall World of Warcraft to see how it would look and it did not disappoint. The reason I bought these were for a home office, I am able to have 2 taps open side by side and read everything comfortably. This will allow me to have 5 screens up at once which makes multitasking very very easy. Now for the 1 bad (well the one thing I don't like), the vesa mount. It is absolutely horrible. As you can see in the pictures the vesa mount does not sit flush against the back of the monitor. You have to install the provided Scepter vesa mount adapter to hook up to your vesa mount item(in my case the Mount-It vesa mount). The red arrow shows the metal piece stick out the back of the monitor, that's part of the monitor and can not be removed. The yellow arrow shows the black sceptre vesa mount adapter you have to attach to the metal piece stick out the back of the monitor. After installed you have about a half in gab between the back of the monitor to the vesa mount plate. Does not look good in my opinion. Other than that, the monitor itself is great so far. Time will tell how it holds up.

4.5 years with no problems
Bought this just as a cheap secondary monitor when had to work from home during COVID pandemic without having any expectations. It is great for coding when you do not need the high refresh rate or exact color matching but it has matte screen and is durable as hell. You just connect it and it works. It has 2 HDMI so I could set up a macbook and minipc on the same monitor and switch them occasionally without any additional equipment. Almost 5 years of flawless service and 0 broken pixels is surprising for this price tag. I am looking for a 49 and would definitely buy one from this brand if it offered that size.

Wow!
I was looking at the screen's specs and thought "Bro, 85 hz refresh kinda sucks". I was running a dual monitor setup, one LG and one Samsung (I know, I know), so I went to check their refresh rate and each of them maxed out at 60hz. So I thought "Wait a second. My monitors suck compared to this one, hz wise". So I bought this thing. I just got it, I connected it via the display port (not HDMI), , went to advanced settings, and lo-and-behold, this bad boy hits a 100hz refresh rate! Bro, I'm shocked and pleasantly surprised. This is a must buy, especially at this price point. One of the rare times where "You get what you paid for" is wrong (as of right now). This is an exceptional screen and it looks smooth as hell. Why waste close to a grand or more for something when this is right here at an amazing price. It even has blue lights in the back of it. 100% would recommend. Is it 4k? Nope. Do you want to drop mad bread on a 4k screen? Nope. Get it bro, you won't regret it.

Lasted 2 years and counting
I bought this monitor to replace an older one that my cats knocked over and broke. This was my first curved monitor. I use it for gaming, work, and streaming. I am shocked at the reviews for this thing. I would guess their quality control is terrible. Mine arrived in a box with the corner dented in, but the monitor itself was fine. I am writing this just over 2 years of using this and it still works just fine for me. I even bounce back and forth on inputs when I am working from home. This is not a high-level gaming monitor, but rather a nicer one for those of us on a budget.
