UPDATE: it has been 4 years since I bought my first 400w flood light and after 3 years that truck was stolen and the light is probably in some chop shop garage helping the thieves that stole my truck work more efficiently. On a lighter note, I picked up a second 400w lamp and love it just as much. It’s truly a game changer for those who need to work at night. I currently have just 2 of the light units installed on my crane now and it’s more than enough light. Update: after almost a year of use and abuse in a mechanic truck, this light is still a delight. I never mounted it to the truck, instead I hang it from my crane. It literally makes you forget you’re working at night. You have to put the amount of light this thing makes in context. You can buy a $30 flashlight and have a nice super bright spot in front of you. This spot serves its purpose and will die within an hour or so because battery capacity and brightness are just suggesting to what the reality is. I picked up the 400w version and when you first fire it up.. you reference your memory of the $30 flashlight. My first reaction was .. hmm I thought it would be brighter. When you look around at a landscape that’s poorly lit by the moon, and you plug this 400w lamp in.... it’s but a few moments when you realize this lamp provides the power that no single man should wield. What this light provides is a crappy sun... but a sun none the less. Your eyes will open to a vast landscape illuminated adequately by 400w of ac power. This lamp is really much more comparable to a light tower on a construction site than the 100w flood lights that can be found on this site for $40. I own 4 100w led flood lamps made by another random Chinese company. They are great... I have 2 in my driveway to blind the crackheads testing my cars door handles. I have 2 as I use for portable work lights for house stuff. None of these lamps compare to the 400w version of this light. The light provides a very large and even illumination and it’s build quality is pretty good. The provided hardware is heavy duty and appears to be stainless steel. The mounting brackets are adequate and the 2 that are provided with the 400w setup are more than sturdy enough for household use. I plan on installing this lamp on my work truck. I will power it via a 1000w inverter. If I was a gambling man, I would bet that the mounting brackets provided will not stand up the the abuse of thousands of miles of vibration. I have not used this light for more than a few minutes to light up a work space at home, but I am very happy with it. If the light lasts the test of time, I will buy many more. I will update this review upon more hours of use.

Great bright light

Don’t buy these lights. There has to be a better option. I’ve had mine for less than 5 years and it is rarely used. Two sections won’t even turn on today and the other half is really dim. I would expect this to last longer especially considering the amount of time it has actually been in use. With the complexity of installing a light at elevated levels it’s not very convenient to have to replace them every 4 years.

Update. The company reached out to me and sent me two new lights. They were easy to work with and very quick to respond I am very pleased with the company and the product. Thanks for taking care of your customers. These lights are amazing and bright. I had them up for a few weeks and one of the four stopped working and I don’t know how to get support from the seller.

I purchased this product last year and faced a issue, but the customer support team handled everything exceptionally well. They responded quickly, guided me through the process, and arranged a replacement with the latest version. Very prompt, professional, and reliable service. Great brightness using minimal amps. Two sets well lighted our riding arena. Well built too. I put them up on power poles 35 ft up vertically. I added wedges under them as they needed to be tilted for best light spread. They are waterproof. Withstood several flash floods and storms with no issue Follow up. Lights still work well, but the lenses are now yellow and not as bright. Poor UV resistance.

compact, lightweight and relatively powerful for size. good value for price. I bought four for construction trailer. Very portable and have been durable over the past year. I've evolved from quartz halogen lights to Wobblelight to construction string lights and this form factor is better than any other option for construction purposes. Haven't had any LEDs burn out in a year, that's with banging around hanging from a trailer hook on the wall. If mounted to the mounting bar it would be secure but I adjust them each time depending on how they are hanging from a temporary jobsite hook and eventually the hex head machine bolts holding the bracket to the light housing can work lose or come out. Not a big deal and probably could be expected with my use, so no rating penalty for me. All in all, I'd buy more and have considered trying other/brighter models out there. Can't be beat if transportation/storage efficiency is a concern.
