The length of the bendable stem is 8.66 in. The length of the entire bracket is 13.4 in.

Q: Does the gooseneck part detach from the clamp? If so, what thread is between the two? I want to use the gooseneck as an extension on my existing arm..

I can't unscrew my one, by hand at least. I don't want to try pliers. It doesn't look like it is intended to unscrew, no dimpled ring.

Q: Would this take the weight of a small vlog compact camera ?

I’m sure it would if it’s got the standard tripod thread. The thing is pretty sturdy. I’ve used it with my bridge camera.
