Using this for a year some thoughts
After a year of use, I found it's difficult for the roller to advance a lot of frames. I usually get enough through so I can grip the edge and pull the film through without the rollers. Also, I found that instead of pushing the cutter straight down, you put a little pressure left+down at the same time, it cuts better. as if you were using a slightly dull pair of scissors, pushing the two blades together while cutting does a better job.All in all, after a year it's still working so a decent purchase. If the blades get too dull I will definitely buy another.

Worst analof film strip cutter...
Worst analog film strip cutter... Wheel doesn't catch a film strip at all. Seller is OK! But design of this item - terrible!

Basic Engineered Functional Negative Cutter
This seems to be a basic engineered and functional negative cutter. And again, this product gets the job done. The white plastic areas allow light to pass through the product, in order to see the edges of the image on the negative film. So far, I've just been holding the product up to the light to center the negative's edge against the cutting edge, then placing on the table and actuating the lever for cutting. The only concern, when sliding the negative through the device, is it possible the negative film can get scratched by the plastic? Although, I think this is a moot point as there's risk with performing any task, and if you have to cut a strip of negatives, you have to cut.So far, the cutter provides a nice clean cut edge, making insertion into plastic sleeves far easier than using scissors or choosing not to cut at all. (eg. Older negative strips with poorly cut edges, tend to dig into plastic sleeves preventing easy insertion.) It is also usually required to cut long negative strips when using a flat bed scanner.

Good product
I used to dread cutting negatives into strips to sleeve them. After cutting through many many film frames and destroying them, I finally bought this little device. It made the job a pleasure. It works great on 35mm and medium format films. Very happy to have bought this. Highly recommend to film shooters.

Nice but have a problem cutting 6x4.5
It works great with 35mm slides, but have a problem cutting my 6x4.5 slides - for some reason, it cuts only the half of a frame and kind of makes harm to a slide on another half. Everything is straight, a film sheet advances well, but the cutter just doesn't work well for 6x4.5. Although, it is perfect for 35mm.

Not great :(
The cutter worked great for some time, but the rollers quickly lost their grip, which required pulling from the opposite side, and the blade lost its edge. Now, unless I slam it, it won’t cut through. What’s worse, if it doesn’t cut through, it will scratch the film horribly. Invest in your gear and get something better for your film. There’s no clear way to take it apart either so I’m not sure how to fix these problems.

Works perfectly for 35mm film, but you do need to backlight it somewhat
This cuts the film evenly and quickly, but really does need some backlighting so you can see the exact location to make the cut on the film strip if you are cutting 2 or more frames for use in a strip-type holder. I hold it in my hands, and would do so regardless, so I just hold it up near a desk lamp to determine the cut points as needed. Though it IS a bit pricey, I still would recommend this product.

Dull Cutter
It's probably for safety reasons, but the blade is far too dull to cut properly. One or two times per roll, the blade will slip and ruin one of the frames. I've ordered two; both have had this issue (I thought it was a defect on the first one I received). I always lay the film flat on both ends and do one swift sweep of the blade, but it feels like I'm playing Russian roulette with if I'm going to have an issue or not. Recommend avoiding.
