My Favorite Ramen of All Time !
Shin used to be my go-to ramen because it meets all the standards of a good instant ramen. And so I was pleasantly surprised when the OTTOGI sesame ramen exceeded my expectations. First off the noodles are exceptionally bouncy and chewy compared to most ramens I’ve tried. Then the soup base is full-bodied and purely delicious. It even comes with an egg block as a bonus. The spicy sesame oil doesn’t only add flavor, but it gives the soup a spicy kick without being overpowering. Whereas other spicy ramens have a red soup base and powerful spice, OTTOGI ramen gives just enough spice for a pleasant experience. To enjoy this I like cracking two eggs and roughly scrambling them, then topping it with green onion garnish.

Good soup, but there's better for the price
I just reviewed the Nongshim Korean Ramen (Ansung Tang Myun) giving it 5 stars and a raving review, this soup is not as good. However, it is a solid one, not as spicy and the noodles are not as good as Nongshim. The egg packet, taste wise, is non-existent and if you add the sesame oil when cooking, it gets absorbed and you lose it, add it after you cook the soup.

My new favorite
I recently fell in love with the Ottogi Jin Ramen Mild, which instantly became a new favorite (top 5). When I went back to buy more, I stumbled on this Sesame/Egg one, and I'm so glad I did! The reviews were amazing and it looked/sounded so good based on what I saw online. Well, it met and possibly even exceeded my expectations and I think it even topped the Ottogi Jin Ramen Mild for me. (others on the favorites list include Nongshim Shin Black, Mama Creamy Tom Yum, Samyang JJajang/Buldak, Nissin Demae Black Garlic Oil). It is a little spicy, but not overpoweringly so; certainly nothing like Shin Red or Samyang Buldak. The "egg block" is cool. It doesn't really add much flavor that I can tell but adds a little texture like that of egg drop soup. The broth is tasty and the sesame oil is always welcomed. $2.60 for a pack of ramen is certainly on the high end, but it is worth it. I didn't even add anything to it, but you easily could to make it more filling and make a true meal out of it. It's an easy 5/5 rating for me.

Fun to try, but expires too soon
It is ok. Almost three bucks a pack though for product with a best by date only a couple of weeks away. Guess it's ramen for dinner every night!

So delicious!
This ramen has amazing flavor. It’s quick to cook. I only use half the seasoning packet. If you like it more salty and hot, then you could add the whole packet. The hot sesame oil is pretty spicy. I add a teaspoon of regular toasted sesame oil.

Originally a friend baught me a pack of these as a present, they were so good, as soon as I finished them I was trying to find where I could buy more. I looooove these noodles, they are really tasty and flavourful, the noodles have good texture and size to them. They have slight heat to them but to be honest I add a bit of siracha sauce for a bit more of a kick. I probably finished the five pack in less than a month (I do shift work and long hours so can't be bothered to cook a proper meal), and I've already ordered another 5 pack.
