protect eyes
prefer to use no12 lens for most welding,better protection from UV rays. use the no 8 for low amperage welding like 1/16 rod

I can see the puddle again
As my eyes get older I need to let more light through to see what I'm doing. Still welding at 77 and after cataract surgery. 10 when I learned to weld at 20. 9 when I hit 45. And now 8. I'll be using sun glasses at 90.
