If your computer is a power-hungry monster, then you need at least a 3KW UPS!
They are quite heavy because of all the sealed lead acid batteries inside each unit. I've only had to open them up once after about five years of use to replace the batteries. Just keep an eye on wire and terminal orientation and it goes pretty quick. Keep some space between them so the heat can escape. My first set warped the housings because of heat.

Great UPS'es
I have always liked APC UPS'es, they are reliable and every one that I have had, has lasted LONGER than what was warranteed and solid performers

Loads of Power, but a little noisy twice a month for a couple hours
This is old tech, but I love the capacity. I use the bR1500G with the 1500VA which, together, will power my modem, router, and security cameras for several hours. It has only clicked on once since I received it a little over a year ago, but it came on instantly and there was no interruption in my camera feeds, my wifi, network or my internet of things smart home network. The USB connection to my PC is not very useful except to run a self test every once in a while. I have a dual smart plug between the UPS and the two NVRs for my security cameras (one for inside, one for outside) so I can control their schedules. Plugging the NVRs directly into the UPS would improve surge protection, but the risk is low and being able to turn the cameras on and off remotely is worth it. So what I like is the capacity, and what I don't like is mostly the loud fan noise that comes on twice a month when it is cycling is batteries or something and also the old fashioned computer interface. As a UPS and a Surge protector it works great, but it could do more with a more modern interface. In fact, it would be nice to have a USB-C Thunderbolt port, too. Oh and the external battery pack was defective when I received it (see photo), but I found a Youtube video that showed hoe to open the case. When I loosened the two halves of the case, the wavy plastic piece immediately snapped flat so I carefully slid the plastic tabs into the correct slots, and closed it up without even fully opening the unit. I am glad I didn't have to return such a heavy device for service!

Great for working from home when power goes out
If your power goes out or blinks a lot, this is great.Your computer keeps working and doesn't shut off.Depending on how much you ug into it, is how much time you have to keep working.I have this set and I plugged 3 monitors with a 3 way split cord, 1 desktop tower, wifi box, and playtronics wireless headset. If power goes out, I get 220 minutes (a little over 3 hours) of back up battery to keep working. And if the power isn't back on, I can safely shut down the computer instead of it shutting off in the middle of working and losing everything. Definitely worth the money.

I love it
I love it - it works great and keeps my server up & running through hours of power outages. One warning: when charging a depleted battery - like when you first set it up, and especially with an external battery pack, a cooling fan that's not quiet will run to keep the thing cool. Once the battery is charged (often hours later), the fan will turn off and it's silent again.

Add the battery pack
The extra plug in battery pack is what makes this a great unit. I've ordered 3 of them. One was defective, Amazon replaced it Asap with no problem. short time battery backups are a waste of time and $ imo. This is the only way to go even though it's a bit pricey for what you get. All battery backups should have the ability to add more backup.

Great power, horrible fan noise
High powered and expandable battery. That's why I got it, to power my home's internet infrastructure for about 8 hours during an outage (possible with the extra battery).Good thing this is tucked away in a closet though, that fan would drive me nuts very quickly. Anytime this unit is on battery or recharging, this obnoxious high pitched fan is running. It also concerns me able the longevity, as small fans aren't known for long life.
