Ideal
THE Water Bottle! With the very real concern of late of micro and nano plastic particles inplastic water (and other) bottles, the age old Sigg bottle remains at thetop of the alternative list.It contains NO toxic chemicals, is almost weightless to carry and carries onthe tradition of Swiss made quality perfectly. While not insulated, is keeps water cold for quite a while and quite cool forlonger still. It also lasts forever.

Dents incredibly easily, threw away after it couldn't stand on its own
Worst water bottle I ever bought. I only purchased bc it is lead free. Did not realize it would be such a soft metal -- my son dropped this water bottle multiple times at school, and now look...it is full of dents, wobbles and even the handle came out. I had to push the handle in again and pinch it tighter on the sides for it to stay in.UPDATE: Officially threw away the water bottle after it no longer could stand by itself. I took a picture of how dented it became in the last photo, it was basically falling over right after I placed it on the table. And the handle fell off way before this. Just awful!

Nice Bottle Poorly Packaged for Shipping
I've owned a Sigg bottle for over 25 years. After repeatedly being dropped over the years, my bottle finally developed a leak and had to be replaced. I definitely wanted another Sigg because of the high-quality construction. The aluminum bottles are also very light-weight and great to carry on long walks. The Sigg Original Copper Water Bottle looks great and even though I think it's a bit expensive, I purchased it because I knew it would last a long time.Unfortunately, Amazon sent the bottle in a paper envelope lined with bubble wrap which did nothing to protect the bottle during shipping. The bottle arrived damaged with dents and the cap had a gouge in it (photo #1) that was so sharp I could have cut myself on it if not careful. I immediately sent the bottle back for an exchange mentioning that the bottle should have been packed in a box to prevent damage during shipping. Amazon sent another bottle but they sent it in a plastic Amazon Prime envelope, not a box as I had asked. I am not a Prime member so I don't know if this was a mistake, or if it's policy to send an exchange via Prime. This time the bottle arrived undamaged, but I think that was just luck as I don't think the Prime envelope would prevent the bottle from being dented if a heavy package were to be piled on top of it. It took a total of 19 days from when I placed the original order to when I received the acceptable replacement bottle. The Sigg bottle itself is great. I really like the design of the Original. Some people have commented that the color looks different from the Amazon photo, so I posted a close-up photo (photo #2) showing the color. It is not a solid copper color - there is some variation which seems to change a bit depending on how the light reflects off of it. The finish is not glossy, but it's not matt either. It has a bit of a sheen to it. The cap has a nice, thick gasket which is leak-proof. Since I kept dropping my old bottle I decided to put a Hydro Flask silicone boot on it (photo #3) to help protect it. The 20 oz Hydro Flask size fits perfectly.I highly recommend this bottle and would buy it again. I did take off a star because it seems a bit over-priced compared to the other Sigg bottles. If you are going to buy it from Amazon make sure you give yourself enough time to return it if the first one you order arrives damaged.

Light weight on purpose!
These are legends, Sigg bottles are of the highest quality 👌. None better for a great packable water 💧 bottle. I have been using them for decades backpacking and mountaineering. They are light weight on purpose. The negative reviews are from clumsy people who dinged their bottles.Sigg now makes stainless steel versions for those people. Me? I want a lighter pack.

Great That It's Not Made in China, But is Low on Features for Price
These bottles are made in Switzerland, which is great. But they are very thin and are not insulated well (most modern water bottles have double-walled insulation - this one does not). While the bottle is lightweight, it is a bit flimsy and will dent easily. The cap seems a little cheap too - mostly plastic with some thin metal components. The cap doesn't tighten easily and sometimes water leaks out of the seal. When sipping, there's a bit of an overlap of metal materials right where your lips meet the bottle, making it an uncomfortable experience (this lip area is borderline sharp). While this particular model is made in Switzerland, be forewarned that this company makes some of their other products in China. Overall, it's an OK product - and a bit overpriced.UPDATE: It's ironic that I wrote about the product denting easily and having a cheap plastic handle, because the handle fell off while I was carrying it full of water, causing me to drop the bottle on my door threshold - putting a big dent in the side of the water bottle. This would not have happened to better built bottles.

Bottle leaks - design flaw
This water bottle from Sigg is poorly designed. I cannot count the number of times it has leaked water all over my bag, items and clothing. You have to be HYPER vigilant about screwing the cap back on exactly right to make sure it is aligned and sealed properly. The mistake is it is very easy to screw the cap on a little bit crooked and then you have a major leak. Bottle is going in the trash today because I do not want to deal with this leaking anymore.
