Dubbin, Natural, Leather Softener & Waterproofing, 500 GM

This Dubbin works amazingly well! I have been using Obenauf's LP for many years with great success, but was looking for a less "greasy" product that would still work as well. This Dubbin went on easily, was much less greasy feeling (more like a buttery wax) and did an amazing job at waterproofing my leather boots. After applying one application to a pair of Rossi Endura Chelsea boots and allowing it to absorb for a few days, I wore the boots for 8 hours in 10-12 inches of snow chasing sheep, digging a truck out of the snow, and general outdoor chores with absolutely no water penetration through the leather ( the only water that got to my feet came over the top of the boot and wicked down my socks).The container is quite large, and will probably last a year or more for my uses and I apply this type of product to multiple boots every couple of months, especially in the winter (Northwest Montana). As the Dubbin is less greasy than the obenauf LP is, it will probably do better at attracting dust on my boots in the summer as well.Great product in a very generous sized tub. I highly recommend from my experience so far.

First time using dubbin wax. I got a new pair of rough out leather boots and wanted some more water resistance. 1st photo is before and next 2 are after. Obviously the boot got darker and lost some of its nap. I'm okay with that and expected it. Do not be afraid to put too much of this stuff on. Just take a microfiber cloth and get a big chunk and work it into the leather. Smells like petroleum jelly a little bit. Last photo shows the size of this thing. Way larger than I expected, but I'm not complaining at all. Super high quality stuff and really easy to work with. I would buy again, but I've got enough for this lifetime.
