You're looking at one of the strongest aluminum carabiners in the world. At 31kN, it's wicked-strong and represents the strongest and most durable design in basic functional climbing carabiners. Through ISO Cold Forging, Omega Pacific put material exactly where it will render the strongest design possible for a carabiner of its size and materials.

Very strong, lightweight, durable and sleek. Very pleased!
This is not my first Omega Pacific Lite D carabiner to purchase, and I love the quality and practicality of these. They are extremely light, durable, and of high quality construction. I even use one for my keys to attach to my belt loop after getting out of the truck before I go into a store. It's quick and easy to use. I have not had a fall yet while climbing, rappelling or from my tree stand, but I would feel very confident if I did. Holding it in my hand it feels very light and easy to handle. The locking screw nut is smooth and easy to operate with one hand. The finish is durable and beautiful (I love black). The hinges are smooth to operate and high quality. These are definitely not like the ones you'd find in the checkout lines at wally world. I am very pleased with my multiple purchases of these and find them very useful for quickly attaching things to my backpack, my safety harness while hunting in my tree stand, and holding my straps, quick cams, ropes, shoes, cables, etc. for my rappelling gear. These are strong enough to hold my #190 frame from a fall. They arrived in new condition with no scratches in a secure bag. No complaints. I'm kind of addicted to these things.

My favorite carabiners. Worth the extra weight.
These are probably my favorite carabiners. For some of the advanced work of running multiple ropes through a carabiner, I like the ample space at each end, great strength, and solid locking meachnism. They are a little on the heavy side, but for tactical applications, they get my vote all the way. I wouldn't run these exclusively on a trad rack or for most recreational purposes, but a couple with you on any rope work activity is a great idea. Highly recommended.

Does what it's supposed to do
I purchased this item for a slightly less conventional use than most, but it has done exactly what I need it to. I've been using it with a dynex runner to hang my shibari suspension ring from the hardpoint of my bondage frame. I've used it a handful of times and it's shown no sign of weakness at all. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Versatile, lightweight and very strong...Simply the best!
Very strong and lightweight. I've used these while I was in the military and have four of them now. They have never failed me and they can bear a lot of weight without weighing down your pack. You can buy cheaper, but they're usually heavier and do not carry the weight that these do. Spend the extra buck or two, you'll be happy that you did. I'd definitely recommend!!

My first one has taken 6 years of constant abuse and if anything is getting better with age
This is the carabiner to end all carabiners. My first one has taken 6 years of constant abuse and if anything is getting better with age, like an engine getting broken in for its first thousand miles. These things will solve problems in your life you didn't think could be solved with a carabiner, and problems you didn't even know you had. Stop reading, shut up, and buy this thing. You won't regret it.

Appears good quality, good camo pattern.
Little heavy, but I knew that going in. It does have a nice beefy, quality feel to it. threads for lock gate seem to work well. Only gripe really is that it's not a keyway lock style, so it's prone to snagging on things when unhooking it, but doesn't seem too bad.All in all, a very good bargain! especially since it's 31kn rather than 24 like most other climbing 'biners you see. That extra 1600 pounds or so of breaking strength just adds that much more safety and peace of mind!

It's an extremely strong carabiner.
There is very little to say about this product. It is an impressively strong carabiner. This thing is strong enough to tow a truck. It can handle your weight, no matter how heavy you are. The weak links in your gear will be elsewhere, not this carabiner. If you just want something to clip your keys to, pick something cheaper. This is a tool, not a toy.If you work with rope, you know how useful these things can be. If you climb and/or repel, then you know how vital it is for your carabiners to be strong. The finish seems strong and hasn't scratched from use with rope, but might when clipped to metal. It's very light. the screw-lock works in the usual manner. Nothing unexpected.

Great Carabiner
I have to start my review by stating I'm not a climber and I didn't purchase this for climbing. With that said I'm only writing this review as a comparison to the Black Diamond one I bought for another non climbing function. I bought this and now have it on my golf bag to hold my golf towel and club cleaner. I picked it because it was all black and matched my golf bag. It does appear to be very well made and locks nice but doesn't fell or look as nice as the Black Diamond one I bought. Again I have no climbing back ground nor do I plan to use either of these for that purpose but... to hold my golf stuff and to attach my gym shoes to my gym bag... they're perfect.
