I will NEVER live another day without this product! It seems to be helping with some old stretch-marks, but only time will tell there. I can say it is absolutely helping with literally everything else!!! I work out in the sun, 40 hours a week and when I come home my skin needs lots of love and lasting moisture. This works! I have never used straight Shea butter before. So I didn’t know if I would like it or not. Good grief, you read so many complaints on here. Never mind all that!!! But I kind of get it, because I was using the most perfect product ever made by the Shea Moisture brand, which was horrifying discontinued recently. That broke my heart. Seriously. But as it turns out, this is the real deal and it’s even better!!! Doesn’t smell like frankincense and myrrh, chamomile and heaven but it does smell divine. Light, so mild, slightly earthy but sooo very subtle! I originally bought the smaller size just to try it, after hearing that my absolute favorite skin product EVER had been discontinued, (I cried)), then I realized how amazing this product is, so I just ordered more in a bigger size. Yeah, it starts out a little chunky and thick but when you put it on your skin OR dry-ass curly hair, I swear you hear angels singing about 15 minutes later. I have also been actively combating a nasty would-be scar on my knee with this stuff, and it seems to be helping. The rest of my skin rejoices every time I use it. The softness you get from this is like nothing else. Very, very mild in scent but honestly it smells so good I could do with a bit more. Shea butter melts so quickly-I can’t stand people who complain about that. It’s worth the extremely short wait folks, because the magic will happen. As it stands, this is the least chunky Shea product I have used yet. It’s thick but melts and soaks in very fast. And keeps the hair and skin soft and smooth for a very long time. If I have phenomenal success with my stubborn stretch marks, using this product, I will report back! But for day to day use, this is my new go-to. LOVE IT!!!!

My very1st 8oz jar of this Shea Butter is still about two thirds full of butter and I've used it every night since it arrived, approx 2 weeks ago. I totally love how this Shea Butter works on crows feet, the wrinkled skin above my top lip and the corners of my mouth. I also tried it on my 60+ years old wrinkled hands, elbows, and knees. It worked well on my older wrinkled elbows & knees only if I 'FIRST apply a very thin layer of a cream, also sold on Amazon, than contains 40% Urea and 2% salicylic Acid, let the Urea Cream dry and then spread a small amount of this Shea Butter on top of the skin treated with the Urea Cream (very lightly spread Shea Butter over all the Urea treated areas of wrinkled skin on my elbows and knees. The next morning I gently exfoliated those areas and applied more Shea Butter (OR another Lotion that absorbs more quickly so I can more quickly get dressed and out of the house). The only Product I know of that works better on my elbows, knees, hands and arms, including hiding the popping up blue blood veins on lower part of both arms is a Prescription Only Strength, of at least 0.10%, Retinol A cream. The Retinol A products allowed to be sold without a prescription just don't work for my elbows and knees. So I think, as long as your wrinkled knees and elbows aren't old like mine, you'll like the results you get by using both the Urea Cream and this Shea Butter as I described earlier. Their is also another 42% Urea Cream with Asylic Acid, but doesn't list what percent is Asylic Acid and, in just my personal nonprofessional opinion, it should contain at least 2% Asylic Acid in order to see how it compares to the Urea Cream I told you about in this review.

This product is wonderful. I will start by saying i have severely dry skin. So dry most lotions are sucked in immediately leaving me feeling dry minutes later, no kidding. This shea butter is what it says it is—and does what it says it will—it’s in raw form so just like with unrefined coconut oil, one has to heat it in order for it to spread nicely. I see a lot of confusion here in the comments with people complaining of grittiness. If you melt it you will not have this problem. I would say it takes a bit more time than coconut oil but that’s no issue considering its supreme moisturizing power. It is greasy but sinks into my skin fast. Its a good kind of greasy. The only part that isnt good is the smell. Its not that bad but i dont exactly love it. Not a dealbreaker though when you’re as dry as me in the winter.

This shea butter does the job for dry skin, but it does has an unpleasant odor to it, but not too bad of a smell.

I purchased this a while ago and ran out of it just recently. It might not seem like there is a lot of product but trust me it lasts longer than it seems. This product is perfect for all year long especially during the winter when my skin gets super dry. This is perfect since you can use it all over your body and is a more natural alternative to slugging with vaseline. Also love the new look of the packaging. Great product.

This product has a strange texture. I went to the company website and the consistency does not look the same at all. It’s beady, ridiculously difficult to apply and feels gross. I will buy straight from the company to see if there’s a difference.

Very moisturizing but the smell is terrible. Very hard to rub into skin as well.

My favorite use of this lovely Shea Butter is as a nighttime moisturizer for my feet. If my feet get too dry, they will actually keep me awake or even wake me up. Nothing works better than plain, pure Shea Butter to keep my feet moisturized ALL night. Absolutely love it. I actually also love to use this as an ingredient for making lotion bars as well. I like very much that this Shea Butter has safety seals in place. The consistency is lovely and creamy and the aroma is pure, true, unfiltered, slightly nutty Shea Butter. I usually purchase the 16-ounce size, but I'm happy to have a choice. Lovely product!
