Venture Heat Men's Heated Shirt Thermal Underwear with Battery Pack - Long John, 1/4 Zip Electric Base Layer, Nomad

I work outside as a valet parking attendant and bought this shirt for my shift. The description says the lowest setting should last 6 hours, but it’s more like 3. The highest setting lasts about 40 minutes. I bought an extra battery to switch around during the night.It does not warm across the chest, which was implied by the photos. It does, however, warm across the lower abdomen. Across the shoulders and down the spine is where it warms in the back. The most disappointing was how the fabric pilled up on the first day’s wearing. I have been wearing it as a middle layer for 4 days and it looks like it’s 20 years old. Photo below.Bottom line, it does it’s job and warms but the battery is not as good as implied. It’s overpriced for the fabric quality and battery life in my opinion.

I was looking for a base layer that was heated and warm for when I go hunting this season. The battery pack was much smaller than I anticipated. That was good because then I didn’t have a heavy battery pack but it also means it didn’t run very long. Also it’s only 5 V heating the shirt instead of other products that are 7.4 V. It only felt warm on the highest setting which would last you anywhere between an hour and hour and a half. That’s not going to cut it for a full morning of hunting for me. The good news is the connector is USB based which means I technically could’ve ran an extension and plugged it into any other power bank as long as the output was 5 V which would extend the heating time. However, the point of wearing a base layers not caring around another additional big power bank just a power my shirt for a couple additional hours of use. I had to go up a size when I purchased it to fit properly but that is clearly stated in the sizing chart. The material felt nice and having the holes in the sleeves for your thumb was great. I didn’t like that one of the heated areas was my stomach. You also could feel the coils all across your stomach as well. I would’ve rather my chest, upper, and lower back be heated instead. Overall it was comfortable, but for me, the high price wasn’t worth having heat for a little over an hour.

Just got this shirt today. I’ll be returning it. For the price I expected it to at least work right out of the box, after I charged the battery. But I guess that’s not what I got. Only the heating elements on the back work. Update: I chose to wear this hunting before I sent it back. It was 0° out and low and behold it started working just fine, for a couple minutes. It stopped working wouldn’t turn back on I had to strip my layers off in the cold to get to the battery unplugged it checked the power level and it showed full power. Plugged it back in and just the back was working again. Repeat process and the whole shirt started working, weird. However, the heat being on the belly In The front it useless, I noticed that my chest was frozen and not long after that the rest of my body went cold. Moving that heater to the chest would be a big improvement. Still returning because it doesn’t really work as it should and I’m replacing it with a different one that has heat on the chest.

Works great. I use it as a base layer under hunting gear. The battery pack it came with lasts about the time they advertise, but I use two bigger packs to get a full 12+ hours out of it on Med/High. This is solely used while still hunting in below freezing temperatures all day(Before sunup to after sundown). Would recommend

what's good about this is it does not use a special battery pack. it just has a standard usb connection so you can use a larger phone charging battery.

I'm currently wearing the VentureHeat Baselayer. It's great in that it uses any power bank. So I've replaced the included one with a 10,000mAH Sinoele power bank that lasts more than 8-10H. The heat envelopes the torso in front. In the back, it heats the rear torso, the entire spine including 3-4" wide swath, & a good portion of the neck. I wear lightweight vests & jackets because I've the benefit of a heated baselayer. No more bulky clothing especially saving space/weight when traveling.

The material is soo thin and is NOT a "long john" and the wires barely heat, it was to the point I had to even question if they were even working. I am returning this product and trying another company.

Nice fit and material but I Don't find it keeps what's important warm.Chest and arms Would Be ideal.Power bank not very big but it's light weight.
