Looked good, adhesive is somewhat difficult to remove from the backing causing the adhesive to crumple up a bit.Thus I was not able to get a smooth line of adhesive onto the guard leaving some area with less adhesive. Let's see how this holds up!

The 2 main complaints I have about this product are:1) it's not very wide. It probably gives the dimensions but I guess I didn't notice. The coverage on either edge of it is only about 1/4 inch. So 1/4 inch on top of the step and 1/4 inch in front. That does cover a sharp edge but barely.2) the adhesive tape is a separate roll, so you have to measure and cut the tape to fit, then cut the plastic corner, then apply the tape to the step, and then try to lay the protector directly in line over the top of it.This makes it fairly difficult to apply to steps. Also, on a few of my 6-8 steps the ends of the edge protector would come off the tape every so often and I have to press it back down.

I ordered this to use on our bay window so the furniture in front of it would not damage the lip on the window. It works perfect for that. It was very easy to install & looks like it will hold up very well. Also, easy to cut to length.

I loved the length of product you get. It was super simple to install. I bought this product to protect by bay window sill from my 11 month old teething twins. Unfortunately this product did not work for my needs. The adhesive is not strong enough and my daughter pulled it away from the sill with her teeth the first test run and it damaged the paint pretty good.

i don't where shoes in the house. Easy to feel where the edge is when walking down the stairs. You must be careful when installing it. Take your time. Make certain the surface is clean.

Did not come with instructions. Some of the other comments here say the adhesive came in a separate roll. Is that how it's supposed to be? Mine came with red strips on both sides of the edge. However one half of the red strip is sticky and one is not, one half of the clear edging is sticky and the other is not. So make sure to line them up so they are both sticky? Am I supposed to know this ahead of time?What I expect is to take off the two red strips and have both halves of the edging be sticky. It was not. Likely because removing the red strip took the adhesive with it, so there was none left on the edging. So now I have to remove this and of course it pulled up paper thin design on my furniture, so it's much worse than if I had not done anything.TerribleSince I can't get both sides to stick

Our stairs are made of marble and are very sharp. My son had slipped a couple of times and hit his cheekbone. I decided to purchase just one roll to try it out. It has stayed up so far after about 5 months. I like that is very discrete. We use it constantly as we go up and down all the time. It has stayed up well and has protected my son multiple times! I just ordered a few more to cover all stairs!

We used this as a corner protector for our metal edge barstools so that would not damage the wood cabinets. It worked wonderfully, you can barely see it, and it was easy to install. Highly recommend it for this application
