Outstanding Customer Service!
Great robot car, easy to follow assembling instructions. I ran into a program issue and emailed the support and they replied to me withing 1 day. Very clear and excellent support!

Didn’t work properly at all
Too easy to assemble, wheels loose in some maneuvers and never work properly. After many tries with support team, it was not capable to use iPhone controls, follow me sensor, lights and chime. Only work with remote control. Lost of money and time.

Great introduction to Arduino project.
I started with programming and wanted to further it into physical projects. This was a great intro and learn the basics. Only thing I didn't like was some screw connections aren't aligned perfectly and some really hard to get in with basic tools.

Christmas
My 13 year old loves it. You do need to order rechargable batteries for it though. 18650

WORST PRODUCT EVER
DO NOT buy this product, unless you want to deal with frustration and things not working. Absolute waste of money and time.

Need to improve the product quality
I used this robot car for a K-12 robotics class with ~20 students. Two cars of ~20 have broken Arduino boards. I did a careful check and found that their bootloaders were not properly flashed. I tried to re-flash through ISP but failed. There is still hardware issue, and Arduino ISP cannot identify this board's electronic signature. In addition, the line track module exhibits a very poor color selectivity/sensitivity. Usually, for other similar robot car models, they provide a variable resistor for each infrared detector, which could be used for adjusting the sensitivity. However, Freenove cars do not have this option. The temporary solution is to move the tracking module out of the fixing location and place it in front of the car and reduce the distance to the surface. In this way, the sensitivity is temporarily acceptable, avoiding to completely screw up my class. Also, I need to point out that the adhesion between wheels and motor rods is weak, and the wheels keep falling off. My suggestion is to drill a 2mm hole at the center of the wheel and use a screw to fasten the wheel on the motor rod. Finally, I don't like the design of the expansion board, which does not provide additional JR-format pins for DIY projects. Elegoo's design is more suitable for DIY projects and extensions.A positive feature: The speed of the Freenove car is really fast and suitable for FPV games.
