I brought the Avenue Man Texture Clay 5X and it has NOT let me down yet. It gives my hair a nice clean Matte Finish with a natural beachy texture. Works well on wet or dry hair keeps the style from work to play 😉 I like that it's made with natural ingredients and doesn't contain any parabins or phtyaletes. Contains 3 pages worth of ingredients! That’s 58 ingredients. Why?! Goes on light and washes out easily, but then that’s part of the problem when one of the ingredients increases incidences of tumors in rats and contributes to coral reef bleaching. Lastly, the fragrance is reminiscent of commercial hand soap, not a smell I particularly enjoy. Only had the stomach to use it one day.

My son has used many different kinds of Clay for his hair, and none have ever given him full satisfaction with the product. Finally, this is what I have been trying to find for him for years! He says his hair has never looked so good, and the hold is so great. This is a must have hair product! Can’t wait to order more from this product line.

Max Texture Clay really impressed me. It gives my hair strong control with a natural, effortless finish. The product feels lightweight but still adds great texture and volume. I like that.

Finding a pomade that works all day and has the right hold and finish has been very challenging for me. Max Texture Clay works perfectly. No strong scent, goes on easily and wears well. While it is labeled "strong hold" it is at least on my hair, more of a medium hold which is perfect. It is a bit pricey but to me well worth it for the results.

Hold: I would actually call it a medium hold, not a firm hold Texture: The texture created is nice and is its strong suit Finish: It creates a natural finish which I like and after about 10 minutes your hair feels better and smoother, it’s nice if you want to rub your fingers through it and best of all it doesn’t make your hair dry, the opposite is true Smell: the product is directed at a masculine audience but the smell is very feminine in my opinion Application: it goes in very smooth and there is no tug at all and it’s very easy to get out of the jar, it has the consistency of vicks vapor rub Clay?: using “clay” in the product name seems a bit misleading because as far as I can tell it doesn’t have any clay in it and I have not seen clay used as an umbrella term for a hair styler Value: it’s pretty expensive especially for 2oz when you can get other home brew and well regarded 4oz stylers for less money
