Seems to be good quality but too soon to tell if it will help with issues that I hope it will. It does lower my blood pressure which mine has always been low so I don't need that side effect.

I really hate to write this review. This stuff works. I bought it for my dry eyes. I am 66. My eyes are better. I am getting some kind of tan. Sort of. My fingernails are hard as a rock now. My age spots are less noticeable. It is a super supplement. The reason I did not want to write this because I don’t want the price to increase.

I discovered astaxanthin almost a year ago, and it has become one of my favorite supplements. For context, I have very high myopia (-13) and have been wearing contact lenses for over 25 years. Because of this, I often experience dry eyes and headaches, especially when wearing contacts for more than 10 hours a day. Since adding astaxanthin to my daily routine, I’ve noticed a significant reduction in eye dryness and discomfort, as well as fewer headaches during long days with contact lenses. I also feel that my overall resilience during seasonal changes has improved. I take one 12 mg capsule daily with a fatty meal. Very happy with the results so far and plan to continue using it. P.S. Nutricost capsules are a bit smaller and easier to swallow, but I have to admit I like the bottle design and overall style from Sports Research more 🙂

This product contains coconut oil which is 80-90% saturated fat. The American Heart Association (AHA) recommends limiting saturated fat to less than 6% of total daily calories (about 11–13 grams on a 2,000-calorie diet) to lower LDL cholesterol and reduce cardiovascular risk. Replace saturated fats (butter, fatty meat, coconut oil) with unsaturated fats (vegetable oils, nuts) to decrease cardiovascular disease risk. I contacted the company multiple times regarding how much coconut oil they put in each softgel, and they would not answer the question with a straight forward answer and just said it wasn't significant or important enough to tell me. I have ordered this product 10 times and was subscribed to it, but will not order it again as taking this in combination with their other products, all full of coconut oil, makes a large percentage of what the AHA recommends for saturated fat intake.
