Fantastic
I've had this up for a year now, and I really can't believe how effective it's been. My temp logger in the attic consistently reports roughly the same attic temperature as the outside. Granted, some of this is because my ceiling has a lot of cracks and the walls are mostly open. But my attic went from causing my AC vents to spout hot air for 2-3 minutes each ttime the unit kicked on to now only spouting warmish air for half a minute. I can now get my house temp down to basically whatever I want, whereas it would never get below about 77 before if the outside temps were 100+. I read every study about this "technology" (ehh-hmm...aluminum foil), and I'm getting far more dramatic results than those studies would suggest, and at least one study was done right up the road from me.This particular product is also quite good: fairly thick, no tears at all during installation. Part of me wonders if I should have gotten one-sided barrier, though, since a lot of the dramatic improvements during the day are evened out by worse performance overnight, as heat in the attic is reflected downward into the house. I've noticed the AC running a lot more at night than it did. However, this may be just a perceived consequence of the unit running much less during the day. Since it virtually never gets cold around here, I think single-sided barrier would be more effective in really hot climates.

I canβt do another SC summer without this!
I live in central SC where summers are brutal. Last summer my attic was a furnace. This is sturdy material and not very hard to install. Iβve planned this installation since last August. I installed it (in February) vertically instead of horizontally. My roof is rafter construction on 24-in centers. I bought the 51β wide rolls and installed it vertically across 3 rafters, starting at the peak of the roof and working downward. I lied on my back on a 4x8 sheet of paneling that I moved from section to section, leaving the last two feet or so draped and unstapled at the bottom to allow air flow from the soffits to the ridge vent. I also covered the gable ends. Iβm anxious to see how much heat Iβve reflected and how much easier my AC works this coming summer.

works great
Purchased this product in December. I gave this product 5 stars for installation, but I really should have gave it less, but I have a ton of stuff in my attic I had to move...lol. The material is very strong and cuts easily. I have tall ceilings in my living room and that was the first room we did. We had a cold spell and my heat pump hardly came on and my bill for the month was lower than normal for cold months. The real test will be this summer when it's stinking hot outside.

Cover basement ceiling
I bought this to cover my basement. Although i do not spend a lot of time in my basement, i do used them from time to time. The installation are made out of chemical. It dropped like a power. When it land on my skin, it itchy. I was thinking buying something cost less that can do its job. I think that is the right choice. it costs much less than Home depot. It is easy to install and looks bright about. All it take a pin will work. From the left it is done vs the right side is before i put them on. I like to give fair review. I think it is important.

Should be 10 Stars!!
Used this product for an in-floor radiant heat project - (about 2,000 sq ft). Ordered the 51" rolls, easily cut in to three pieces with Compound Miter Saw - perfect fit for 16" OC floor joist - stapled to floor joist about 3" below floor surface. Radiant water line temperature +104F on side toward floor and ONLY 62 degrees on opposite side toward open basement area without even adding the R13 insulation below it! Great product, easy to work with - no sharp edges - would recommend for any attic insulation or radiant floor heat project or anywhere that heat reflection is sought.

great stuff.
Doesn't tear. that is good. is easy to handle. 51 inches is much easier to install. don't get 48 inch. other products cost more too. I would buy this again. thought I was, but got an inferior product. aaah !
