Perfect pick-me-up, type story!
I read this to my child’s 1st grade class. Age appropriate and all were engaged. A main phrase was repeated throughout the story, which kept the story building up and entertaining for that age group. Cute story for someone down in the dumps, that may need a pick me up.

It's ALL GOOD when you look for the GOOD!
Huge Pete the Cat fan here! Fell in love with Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes ! I loved that book and really like the others I have read... This new book may be a new favorite! I love the feel good message it ends with. In true Pete the Cat fashion it makes you want to get up and dance! In Pete the Cat and his Magic Sunglasses we find Pete a little blue till he meets grumpy frog driving a motorcycle. Guess what, today Grumpy Frog was not grumpy. He had on cool blue sunglasses that makes the blues go away! Pete puts on the glasses and sees thing in a new way! Life is ALL GOOD again for Pete. He goes along the way meeting many different sad animals that also try on the sunglasses and become happy. After sharing the cheer with many animals Pete ends up breaking his sunglasses and learning a great lesson from a Wise Owl. The Owl reminds Pete that he doesn't need magic sunglasses to see things in a new way. He reminds Pete to just look for the GOOD in every day! Owl's advice works!!! The animals in this book are too cute and so fun to look at. The text is catchy as always and the illustrations just suck you in to Pete's world! I am so happy to see another GREAT Pete book that I can share with my favorite kiddos young and old! Kuddos to Kinberly and James Dean on another awesome book! This is a must have for your Children's Literature book shelf!

Another Magic Book
I love this book. Love the story and the illustrations. The new characters being introduced are wonderful and their representation so original. The colors are bright and refreshing as all of Dean's creations have been. I found myself enthralled by them all. I've read many of the reviews and have to agree that it is somewhat different from the earlier Pete books like White Shoes etc, but the story seems to be a little more mature in theme and that's a good thing. The first book White Shoes was great but the following books seem to lose originality and became very repetitive and simplistic with little if any of what could be called a story line. Someone commented on something being forced and that is what the last couple of books were getting to be. It was obvious that the success for the books was being driven by the strength of the character (Pete)not the story. The very small children who were so entranced by the first books are growing and this book seems perfect for them as the story line has grown in maturity with them. At first I too missed the little song but the maturity level of this story line and it's message makes the little song ditty unnecessary. In talking with other Pete Fans I've found that a huge number of them never downloaded the song in the first place, just made it up as they went. White Shoes was magic but so is Sunglasses!

Great Story!
Our six yr old is a big fan of Pete the Cat, as it's pretty popular at the elementary school he goes to. This book is super cute with colorful pictures that are interesting to look at. Pete starts out having a bad day in this story, but eventually learns to look at the bright side of everything and keep a positive attitude. It's a great moral and it's very creatively taught in a way that young children can truly understand.

Great Product
Quality of the material of this book is outstanding. I liked that the story had more pictures than words. The wording on each page was short and simple for my 4 year old great grandson to understand the story. He loved the story!!!

A Purr-fectly Magical Mood Booster!
From the bestselling Pete the Cat series comes another delightful story: "Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses." This hardcover picture book is a gem that transforms grumpy moods into awesome vibes, making it a favorite for kids and teachers alike. In this story, Pete the Cat wakes up on the wrong side of the bed, feeling grumpy and out of sorts. But with the help of some magic sunglasses, he discovers that a good mood has been inside him all along. It’s a wonderful message for young readers about the power of positivity and finding joy within themselves. As a longtime fan of Pete the Cat, I absolutely adore this book. When I was a first-time Kindergarten teacher, I spent my entire summer crafting Pete the Cat-themed decor, and my classroom turned out to be the cutest ever! Pete has a way of bringing smiles and positivity to the classroom, and this book is no exception. To make the story even more engaging, I created a printable activity. They get to draw what they would see if they had magic sunglasses, just like Pete, and write about their visions. It's a cute and fun way to encourage creativity and positive thinking. You can find a copy of this printable in the pictures for a freebie! I give "Pete the Cat and His Magic Sunglasses" a full 5 stars. It’s a fantastic addition to any classroom library, perfect for storytime, and a great tool for teaching kids about the power of a positive outlook. Plus, don’t miss out on downloading the free groovin’ song that accompanies the book—time for some magic fun in the sun

Perfect to demonstrate "perspective"
Used for a class of 4-6 year olds to discuss learning to "look for the good". They enjoyed the story, it sparked a great conversation, and the learners flipped through the book on their own multiple times during free play.
