I like this radio! Looks great in the dash and sounds terrific. The seller is excellent too. Lots of menus on both your phone (some settings only available on your phone) but once everything is sert to you liking, you no longer need the app. Just one thing I've found that they need to fix = when playing audio from a USB drive, and you turn off the car, when restarted you'll get an ERROR on screen. Easily solved by removing and reinserted. It starts where you left off and all is well, But a little annoying if you use a USB drive. On your phone apps like pandora are seamless. If you're installing you'll need the installation kit.

FYI: YOU DO NOT NEED TO KEEP THE SmartSync APP ON YOUR PHONE TO USE THIS RADIO’S BLUETOOTH! All I wanted was a Bluetooth radio for my car. I got it. But maddeningly, this radio seemed to require a separate app called “SmartSync” to have its Bluetooth function. I knew that made totally 0% sense, so here’s the steps I used to get rid of the BS. 1. Press the radio button called “SRC” (source). Click until the radio screen display says Bluetooth. 2. Connect to the radio on your phone’s Bluetooth. 3. The radio and your phone will prompt you to download an app. Download it. (Eughhh don’t let the app access any of your data or location) 4. When the app is running on your phone, the radio will work with Bluetooth. When you close your app, the radio will stop playing music. This is the BS I was referring to earlier 5. To stop the BS, LONG-PRESS on the “SRC” button while the app is open and your phone is connected to the radio. I had to play around with the radio a bit, disconnecting and re-connecting my Bluetooth to get it to work. Try this with the app open and closed. 6. Once you get it to play music with the app closed, delete the parasitic app from your phone. The app is frivolous and unnecessary, and frankly only there to harvest your info from your phone. Aside from that little bit of frustration, this radio is great. I purchased this radio for my old 2007 car which is so old it didn’t even have an Aux cord input! Installing it was a pain (needed to purchase a bracket to put in the dash) but the radio has gorgeous LED lights and works great.

I purchased this MVH-S622BS to replace my old JVC head unit that lost it's mind. After a week of tweaking the sound to my liking, this unit has the best sound quality of any head unit that I've ever owned. The color changing is cool as you can match it to your vehicles lighting or to your style. Blootooth is seamless and takes a noticeably shorter time to connect than other units that I've seen. I don't use the USB port so, you can be the judge of that. This unit has a ton of features, some that I'm still discovering. It has the absolute best sound quality at it's price range over it's competition ( and some higher end models ) that I've ever heard, even clearer than Kenwoods Excelon line. Beware of the bass boost feature because it can be too strong for some speakers. Overall, I'm really enjoying this unit and will say that it is indeed a quality unit.

I love everything about this stereo, except one thing- It's way too bright. Sound, 10/10, style 10/10, function 10/10, features 10/10. I just really wish it would dim about 3-4 more notches. I drive a lot at night and even on the lowest setting, its distractingly bright. Sometimes on long trips I will put a sweater over the dash to cover it up. I drive a 2000 Tundra, so the dash has that 90s/2000s green/yellow backlighting. I tried my best to get the colors to match and it's just too bright. I could go with a red and it wouldnt be as bad, but then it wouldnt match my factory interior at all. The take away? This stereo checks every box. It sounds good, it looks good, tons of features, the color palette is pretty much endless. If you dont mind it being so bright, 100% a good buy. If you want a stereo that looks almost stock, no blinding lights, maybe look at another unit. If this stereo just had a screen shut off button, or night mode, it would be the full 5 stars.

I had this installed in my last van (which I sold) and now I have this one installed in my current van. Im a huge fan of the simplicity and price point. The volume knob is also easy to reach for when driving

I put this in my Jeep and it works great. The sound quality is good. The seller set my item and I received it quickly. Somebody said if you turn the knob real fast, the volume doesn’t keep up. I have a solution, don’t turn your knobs fast! Take care of your stuff! Nothing wrong with this radio.

this is a direct replacement for the one i installed several years ago, nothing wrong it just started looking old and dingy from wiping it clean all the time in a dusty environment

Pioneer is one of my "go to's" for audio equipment. I have always had good success with heir products and they seem to have good longevity too. I love the idea of these new decks. No CD player as I have moved entirely to bluetooth connectivity for my travelling needs which maximizes variety with no physical storage problems. This is my second Pioneer media player I have purchased. The first was about 3 years ago in a single din format, this one is double din due to the vehicle. I am also not a fan of touch screen in the car as it takes your eyes off the road to use them. With dials or buttons, once you learn the location, you can pretty much use it without looking at it. This deck has some nice features. 3 sets of 4V preouts. a wide range of EQ settings, the usual AM FM stuff. It's illumination features are nice and allows you to customize the look to the interior of your car. And because its a media player only, it is quite shallow ( and very light) thus allowing a lot more space behind the unit for stashing the RCA cables and mating wiring harness adapter that needs to be made. It has great sound quality. There is a bit of a learning curve to learn it's features, but most of it was pretty intuitive. I only had to refer to the manual a couple of times to set it up.
