The model needed for our 2004 Chevy Silverado
If you have a Chevy Silverado, diesel of the 2004 vintage, you'll need this filter or something similar. Buying via Amazon saved a considerable amount of money and often if I've needed to buy one locally over the years, they often need to be ordered anyway. This filter fits perfectly, it could be easier to install, but after all these years, it is what it is! Just make sure the engine is off and cool before you attempt the replacement. You WILL get dirty and/or have fuel spilled on you!
